I ordered from Wolfe this afternoon. They had the best price and I wanted to support a gay friendly organization.

already pre ordered it (it is being mailed april 3- i paid a couple bucks extra for postage so it will be with me 4/5) from www.cduniverse.com   if you go to site you will be in music  look up to top of page and click on movies and then in search brokeback mountain click and then it comes up the dvd.  it is i believe $20.99 and they i believe ship worldwide--really reasonable ship price.  good luck.  they seem really organized.

I order my 10 copies at Wolfe Video which also comes with free BBM bandana.

Amazon is also taking pre-order for $16.98. Free shipping with order of $25.

There are two verisons available - Wide Screen and Full Screen

A little warning to our friends who are not in DVD zone 1, and want to order from America to play on you laptop or desktop.  The DVD player on the computer could be disabled after 5 times you switch from a DVD zone 1 to another zone back and forth.

However, I'm quite sure there are some wizards on this board who will know how to manage with this.

Today I actually did a double-take at our local Walmart when I saw a big standup display at the entrance announcing the release of BROKEBACK  MOUNTAIN next Tuesday.

there was another thread somewhere here where an article was reprinted about how the christian right was threatening to boycott walmart because they were selling the movie... not i am a walmart boycotter already (LOL) but was thinking of buying my movie there just to show support for the movie being sold there... anyone have any better thoughts of where to purchase it to have the best impact??

I was gonna buy it at Wal-Mart for two reasons.

1. New movies start at $14.87 at my Wal-Mart.

2. I used to work there, and that was the job that I quit, in part because of the way the other cashiers were treating me after one started a rumor about me being gay.

A video store near my house is open at 12:00 am on MOndays nite so people can buy new movies when they are released on Tuesdays.. SO i will be watching the movie at like 12:05 am on Tuesday!!! and i have school the next day! i am crazy!!! but it is so worth it!!!

Just ordered mine from the BBM website (Universal Studios)  they said it would ship on Apr 2.  I don't know if my local WalMart will be getting it.  Poster is not up :'(.  I called and asked them about it, they said it was too soon to put the poster up...I said well the CHRONICLES OF NARNIA poster is up and it comes out on the same date.  She didn't have an answer to that one :-X.  I will try calling tomorrow during regular "business" hours.  Sometimes those people in the store don't know what they are talking about  ???

Don't know if this has been mentioned, but I hear that Best Buy is including the Story to Screenplay book with the DVD (limited quantities) and also Target is including the audio book with the DVD.  Costco is actually selling it for more than those places ($18 and a few cents as  opposed to $16 and a few cents at the other two places)
