How many DVD's will you purchase?
« on: Mar 26, 2006, 09:52 PM »
So I assume all of us will or already have purchased the DVD. My question is how many? I know most people would probably buy one but we are a little more.. um obsessed with this movie than the average person! haha!

I want to get 4.

2 widescreen (1 for viewing, 1 to frame) hahaha

2 fullscreen (1 for viewing, 1 to frame) haha!

yeah.. dont laugh at me, you know you want to do that too :P hahaha!

I'll probably end up with four. Two right now: one for viewing and one for backup in case the first one gets worn out; and two when they release the Extended Edition.

I ordered 10 widescreen from Wolfe and 1 full screen at Amazon. They will be put for good use. :D I have no doubt that I will buy more.

I've ordered a dozen from Amazon (all full screen) and have reserved the 6 my local (north TN) grocery store video department is getting and am hoping to get at least another half dozen from the local Walmart. All my friends and family know they're getting the dvd and cd for ANY occasion requiring a present for the foreseeable future.

I ordered 3 from amazon- only one is for me. I have a feeling I will be buying another in the future.

2 ordered for now.

Maybe additional copies at a later date, especially if other versions are released.

I don't have enough money to be buying copies for other people. I'm getting one, too.

Definitely 5+ -

3 to start - one for home, one for our boat so I can watch it all summer, and one for the office.  I'm setting it up to loan to all my co-workers who haven't gone to see it, in hopes they'll like it and start spreading the word to their friends or want to buy a copy of their own.  I've already got a waiting list going.  ;D

Then I've got at least 3 birthdays coming up in May and June, and BBM will be part of the gift package I'll be giving, you bet.

Any of my friends who haven't seen it by Christmas will sure be able to guess what they'll be getting from me. :) :)

I just bought one copy for my friend on Amazon. We have become such amazing friends thru this film. It is the least I could do for her. I also am going to get a copy for myself midnite on Monday. so.... 2.. but probably gonna do like Chameau and get another copy to lend to friends. That is a great idea.  ;D

I bought two - one for me and one for a buddy I saw BBM with. I am not sure that my buddy even has a DVD player, but I will tell him that it is a memento of our viewing experience and that eventually he should get a DVD player anyway. I am hoping that over the holidays, a "special edition" becomes available...

I'm confused, are there two different types? Like widescreen and full screen? Cuz i've never noticed that.  :-\ I'm gonna buy 2. 1 normal and a special edition if it's released. :) Lauren x

After renting and viewing both the FS and WS and listening to all the advice here, I think getting both is the only way.  I'd REALLY rather wait for a deluxe edition, but, hey, who has that kind of discipline?  :P

I'm buying one of each - leaving for Target right now.

I have the one Widescreen I bought right when it came out....and was gonna wait till a special edition was released (or directors cut or something like that) and get my second copy
But you all are making me want more!
I am thinking (when I get my next paycheck) I am gonna get two more - one to keep wrapped (just in case) and one to lend out to friends!
Thanks for the advice....I thank you, but my wallet doesn't  :P

I have three already (two widescreen, one full screen).  I've loaned them all out to friends/coworkers and I'm going through BBM-withdrawal, so I suspect I'll buy another one today and get my fix tonight (or this weekend).    ::)
