Unfortunatelly I won't be able to watch it with you cause I'll be in train at 8pm... I'm arriving at 10:30pm.
But I'll think very hard of you  :)

I know the DVD will come out at different times in our different countries, but I'm wondering if there will be a way to somehow commemorate the movie together.  Can we hold simultaneous US, Canada, Britain, France, Italy, Yugoslavia, Russia, Japan, etc., etc. viewings??  Set up times when we'll watch all together?  I can't wait to see how the DVD release changes this forum!!!  Our community bonds will grow even stronger.  :)

hey, don't want to be a party pooper or anything, just want to point out that Yugoslavia no longer exists ;) The countries that were once part of the former Yugoslavia are now: Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slowenia and Macedonia.

Sorry, just couldn't resist since I know there are a lot of people out there who still believe that Yugoslavia extsts when it really ceased to exist in 1991 ;)

oh, I agree, Split really is exquisit. but I dunno, I like my home town best ( don't we all :D ). I used to spend my summer holidays in Split. But I can't make anything of their accent though- can't stand it, and I know 'they' sure as hell can't stand mine, so I don't feel very welcome over there to tell ya the truth  :'(

Great. I am in the game.

May 21 (Sunday)

11am Pacific Time
2pm Eastern Time
7pm UK
8pm Western Europe

We are not watching the entire DVD, are we? I propose the boys up in the mountain part. We can create a live thread - watching and posting thoughts at the same time. If it is ok with everyone, I will announce it in the forum and provide a link to the News Box.

I won't watch and post in the meantime.  My DVD player is in the living room,  my PC elsewhere and I'm not sure my PC could handle the DVD playing and the high speed internet connection at the same time.

I wouldn't watch and post in the meantime.  I'll watch the DVD and post after, this is not one multi tasking experience I want to try but if the others want to, go ahead.  I'll post after.  BTW, not all of us have high speed connections and speed is different if you have DSL or cable, a live thread could be frustrating for some members.

My 2 cents

I suggest a full viewing and no replays of certain scenes  ;)

chameau, thanks. My idea is more of making this an ongoing thing. If members can't join this time, they can join some other times. We can do certain scenes this time and some later.

In order to watch BBM "together," a live thread is a different experience. Of course, if the majority wants to see the entire DVD and post after that, it is ok with me too.

I think I'll be able to join in... it'll be pretty special to watch and know that my friends around the world are watching too! but I'm not sure I'll be able to watch the entire movie, maybe just their time on the mountain... we'll see.
