Yes, "Chicle!" is one word she says (it is a little girl) but there are two words before it, or maybe one word with two syllables.  She then repeats it several times.

Yes, I live 15 minutes from Tijuana and the kids down there sell all kinds of things.  It is sad sometimes because you just know they are so poor.

I actually have a friend who used to sell gum like that when she was a kid. Her mom married into money later on and they moved to Houston.

Ok, if you say so.  When I went to college I started to take Spanish.  The problem was I was also taking calculis 4 at the same time and was having some trouble there also.  I needed a Spanish tutor so I went to the Mexican community center for help.  They didn't know half the words in my lessons or they pronounced them differently.  When I asked the professor why that was, he said they spoke Mexican and not Spanish.
I ended up getting a student tutor for about two lessons.  He was such a hunk I was terrified to be near him, so I dropped Spanish.   :D

Patriot, Mexican's speak Spanish, but with a Mexican dailect. Dialect's can make languages very different.
