Some screencaps I grabbed from the DVD...
« on: Apr 09, 2006, 08:31 AM »
Took a little time last night to get some screencaps of some of my favorite moments from the movie when I watched it (yet again) on the fabulous DVD. So, hope everyone enjoys, heh...

Yup!  The full movie in a few pictures and I'm now crying on my keyboard.  Will this crying stuff will ever stop?

Don't bother to answer, I guess now the answer is no.  Thank you again Kenny!

I'm glad everyone enjoyed the screencaps. I got a little bored, and figured it'd be a nice way to pass the time -- capturing some of my favorite moments. I think that my two favorite pictures are of Jack leaning up to kiss Ennis in the 2nd tent scene, and the scene of Ennis pushing Jack against the wall (as the hat comes off) during the reunion scene... Jack looks... shocked! LoL

Yes, Jack looks very shocked.  LOL  I don't think he was expecting that kind of a welcome.  LOL

Just want to add my thanks too Kenny. You did a beautiful job and captured all the right moments for me. Again, thanks.
There was some open space between what he knew and what he tried to believe, but nothing could be done about it, and if you can't fix it you've got to stand it.

Ennis, riding against the wind back to the sheep in the treacherous, drunken darken light, thought he'd never had such a good time, felt he could paw the white out of the moon.

Wow, I'm glad you're all enjoying them!

Someone should take them and put them to music, creating a BBM montage. That'd be nice.

The one with Jack lasso-ing Ennis is growing on me. It's like he's saying, "I've got you!" And that could be interpreted in more than one way.  ;)

These were so great, thank you very much :)
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
