New scene: Riverton, WY.

Ennis and Alma are sitting in a pick-up truck at a drive-in movie. Ennis has his arm around Alma. Alma is about 6 months pregnant. Alma feel the baby move and takes Ennis' hand and places it on her belly so he can feel the baby. Ennis smiles at Alma.

New scene: Aguirre's trailer in Signal, WY. Aguirre is sitting at his desk.
Jack Twist walks in.
Aguirre looks up at Jack: Yeah?

AGUIRRE: You're wastin' you're time here.

JACK: You ain't got nuthin', nuthin' up on Brokeback?

AGUIRRE: (gives Jack the evil eye) Ain't got no work for you.

Jack stops, thinks for a moment, nods his head, begins to get Aguirres drift and moves to leave the trailer . . . just before he reaches the door, he stops, turns around to Aguirre . . . his curiosity gets the better of him. He can't resist asking about what he's been thinkin' about all day (all week, all year) . . .

JACK: Ennis DelMar ain't been around has he?

Aguirre looks at Jack angrily.

-You boys sure found a way to make the time pass up there.

Jack realises then that Aguirre saw them in their happy times on BBM.He looks devastated.

-Aguirre:-Twist, you boys wasn't gettin' paid to leave the dogs babysit the sheep while you stemmed the rose.(He makes a pause and looks at Jack even more angrily).Get the hell out of my trailer.

Jack leaves the trailer,humiliated and sad...

New Scene: Alma is putting up some laundry to dry. She spies Ennis's truck approaching from the distance...
then we see her in the kitchen, she scrubs clothes on the washboard. Ennis approaches Alma from behind and puts his hands on her shoulders.

Ennis: How are my girls doin'?

Ennis looks out the kitchen window briefly before he walks to the back of the house towards the girls' bedroom. He gives Junior a kiss before he goes over to the cot to pick up the crying baby. As he tries to soothe the baby, Junior gets out of her little bed and runs towards Ennis, arms out, also wanting to be picked up. Alma calls out: Ennis, could you wipe Alma Jr's nose?

Next scene. Ennis, now in pajama bottoms and sleeveless t-shirt, comes into the bedroom sits on the edge of the bed. The pajamas stretch down and we see

. . .

Alma comes in behind Ennis, puts her arms around him in a recreation of the dozy embrace . . .

ALMA: Girls alright?

ENNIS: Yeah. Jenny stopped her coughin' . . . Ah should take the girls inta' town this weekend get 'em an ice cream . . . sumthin' . .

Alma (embracing Ennis from behind and using all her powers of persuasion -- she whispers): Ennis! Can't we move to town? I'm tired of these lonesome ol' ranches... No one for Alma Jr. to play with... Besides... I'm scared for Jenny... scared if she has another one of them bad asthma spells...

ENNIS: (softly) Hmm?

ALMA: I know you'd like it too . . . a real home, little kids for the girls to play with . . . not so lonely like you were raised. You don't want it to be so lonely do you?

ENNIS: Come here . . . (pulls Alma to him, softly kisses her) ain't so lonely now is it? Hmm?

ALMA: Are you sure the girls are asleep?

ENNIS: Yeah. (they begin to make love)

ALMA moans: Come here. . .
Ennis strongly grabs Alma rolls her over, does quickly what she hated . .

ALMA groans: Ennis!

-Speaker:-Let her rip and snort, boys! Jack Twist, hangin' on for dear life! And down he goes! Watch out there fella! He's comin' for you! Send in the clowns! Okay, a fine ride by Mr. Twist!

Clowns do their duty and,after that,we see Jack in a tavern.He sees then Jimbo,one of the clowns who have helped him in the rodeo that day.

-Jimbo(to the barman):-Give us a beer, Doug!

Jack approaches to him,very friendly and smiling.

-Jack:-I'd like to buy Jimbo here beer! Best damn rodeo clown I've ever worked with.

Jimbo notices Jack's meaningful and very "hungry" look. He grows uneasy. Finally, he says:

Jimbo: No thanks, cowboy... If I let every rodeo hand I pulled a bull off of buy me liquor, I'd have been an alcoholic long ago. Pulling bulls off you buckaroos is just my job... so save your money for your next entry fee, cowboy.

He moves away and joins others at the pool table, where whisperings and inquiries begin... All this Jack notices with growing unease...

-You ever try calf ropin'?
-Jack:-Do I look like I can afford a fu**in' ropin' horse?

New scene: Riverton, WY. 4th of July, evening. A crowded park. A small band is playing The Battle Hymn of the Republic.

Ennis (carrying Alma, Jr) and Alma (carrying Jenny) are walking through the crowded park. They are gathering to watch the 4th of July fireworks.

Ennis: We should move closer.
Alma: No, Jenny will get scared.

Ennis, gently caressing baby Jenny's head, becomes annoyed listening to the vulgar discussion behind his family of women.
Finally looks around, politely asks the bikers:

ENNIS: Hey! - Ya’ might wanna keep it down, I got two little girls here . .

Biker 1: F*** you. Asshole. Probably quit givin' it to his wife after his kids was born.
Biker 2: You know what that's like.

Ennis hears their talk and begins to boil. Slowly he hands little Jenny to Alma and he turns to get up, Alma sees the determined look on his face says to him:

ALMA: Ennis, Ennis, just let's move, - OK?

By this time Ennis is not hearing what Alma says, has only one thing on his mind. As he rises the fireworks begin both inside and outside Ennis, the announcer shouts - There they go!! Ennis walks back to the foul mouthed pair as Alma picks up the girls, begins to move away . . .

ENNIS: Now I don't want any trouble from you, you need to shut your slop bucket mouth, ya' hear me?

Ennis grabs biker2 throws him to the ground, and with his uncommonly quick reflexes, turns, throws his leg and kicks biker1 in the face knocking him out cold.

ENNIS: WHAT ABOUT IT? YOU WANNA' LOSE ABOUT HALF YOUR F**KIN' TEETH? - HUH!!?

BIKER2: Not tonight bud, I'd sure rather not.

Fireworks goin' off everywhere . . .

In the rodeo,Jack is looking at a girl who is riding.The speaker talks:

-Here she comes, ladies and gentlemen! Oh boy, look at her fly! This is Lureen Newsome from right here in Childress, Texas! Come on, folks, she's gotta hear it, let's give her a big hand! She's turning on two! She's around three! Come on, folks! Help her home! Come on! Come on! And the time is 16 and 9!
