Just noticed it at my last BBM DVD viewing. There is a plane taking off in the background. Well, not very interesting neither important (nor anachronic).
Just wanted to say it...

Hey!!! thanks pierralex!!!! it is good to know that!! seems to be we have watched BBM DVD so much that we pay attention to every detail!!

ethan · « **Reply #2 on:** May 14, 2006, 11:48 AM »

Great catch - pierralex. Thanks. Wouldn't that be something if it was Airbus 380?

I am sure there are more. Keep watching DVD folks.

Hahaa, that's great. :D And I agree with Carlos_H82.. we have watched BBM so much that we pay attention to every detail.

I wonder if Ang Lee knows his movie has THIS fanatic fans.

NO detail is too small as far as this movie is concerned...

Thanks pierralex.

Can we dedicate this thread to all such details that many of us might have missed? Can we name other such things?

I love the idea, tpe. Sorry I won't be able to contribute for a while, I haven't acquired the dvd.

No problem stephan. I hope this thread stays for a while.

OOT, do you know that I have YET to see the DVD in full? I still don't have the courage...

pierralex · « **Reply #7 on:** May 14, 2006, 03:50 PM »

Just renamed "All the little details"

Just renamed "All the little details"

Thanks pierralex. I am sure there will be quite a lot of things to consider here.

For instance, have we ever done an enumeration of all the things we see in Lureen's and Jack's house? Pictures and other small details, for example?

Certain glass objects above (or on the side table) of Lureen's bed... The pictures in the house during the Thanksgiving scene...

pierralex · « **Reply #9 on:** May 14, 2006, 04:13 PM »

Another detail :

The phone during the Thanksgiving scene is different from the one in the last Lureen scene.

How interesting!

Frankly, I had not precisely situated where the last call was made as you do now (in the thanksgiving scene).

Thanks pierralex!

This is the good thing about the DVD.... you can watch it and look at all the little things...provided you can tear your eyeballs away from the kissing and the stroking and all THAT rest

You got an eye for detail Pierrealex

pierralex · « **Reply #12 on:** May 14, 2006, 05:32 PM »

I don't know if you noticed it, but the painting on the wall represents a young LD Newsome, Lureen's father.
I wonder what are the other things on the wall, if they are buckles (prizes of Jake and Lureen)...

Kemmer · « **Reply #13 on:** May 14, 2006, 05:38 PM »

I recall that cans of beans bubbling on the grill on Brokeback had a strange brand name; something like "Better More"? Or somethin'.

Rønnaug · « **Reply #14 on:** May 14, 2006, 05:38 PM »

I saw that...and it made me feel like BOTH LD and Lureen look at Jack the same way...ick...

Better Most Beans... BMB...BBM.... apparantly it is a genuine brand from the 60's ...

When Jack meets up with Ennis (very briefly) after the divorce, he keeps licking his lips as though he's really itching to pash Ennis right then and there.

"Just kiss me you fool" !!!!!!!

The buckle that Jack wears the day of the kiss (4 years after)

is the same than the day Jack searches for his blue parka

It's different from the one he wears in BBM, which is the same than when he rodeos.

This forum should write a BBM Bible, with you as one of the editors.

I don't know about the rest, but I find small details fascinating...

pierralex · « **Reply #24 on:** May 16, 2006, 02:44 PM »

Thank tpe

Here is one again : the horses in the Newsome-Twist house

I have other details but it take time to prepare the pics...

I can't see these pix. They intrigue me. I will see it when I get out of the office.

Pierralex I cannot wait to see more!

Somebody may have already mentioned this, but the name of the farm equipment is "Versatile." Nice touch, don't ya think?

Also, another small detail, when Alma is taking down the laudry at she and Ennis' house, she is taking down the same brown/orange shirt Ennis wore on BBM.

Froggy, I agree. I can't wait to see more surprises.

This is all so decadent... We are so obsessed that even the nitty gritty takes the form of revelations.

I am unapologetic...
