did you realize that jake said "really original" right at the beginning of his acceptance speech for "best kiss" - i think he was so not happy with the jokes that justin and that other woman made...

You mean in the MTV awards site, right? I think it should be somewhere there. there's an earlier clip that shows part of his speech. But I suspect we'll also find it in youtube.

Anyone has any additional info?

I agree cremetorte,i don't think he was happy either.I didn't find it funny myself.It's not that i don't have a sense of humour,i do

,i just find all award show sketches cringe worthy.lol.I could read Jake's lips when they were making ranch hand jokes he said..."Wow.What?" and raised his hands in disbelief.He took it in his stride i guess.Used to it by now.Best performance speech is part of a longer clip on Youtube.It's not up individually as yet.It's only a few seconds,not the whole speech.Here you go...

When does he say "really original"? I've played it 3 times and I can't see or hear it

It's not like I haven't had plenty of practise, trying to work out what is or isn't being said in certain situations!

In any case, I agree with Jake, the whole "ranch hand" stuff was embarrassing, I haven't got a problem with innuendo based humour, but there's a time and a place for it, and that wasn't it imo.Then again, it might have worked if it had actually been funny...

I can't wait to see it all properly tomorrow

I just watched it again and on my clip he starts off by saying..."I said to Heath".The clip i have must be edited?So,was that a knock at Justin for smacking his backside?

I didn't hear it last night but I played the youtube clip three times and heard it. I was probably too busy drooling last night.

I'm not sure if it was to Justin or not or for the ranch hand job thing.

I didn't hear that. Interesting. And the stupid slap on the ass, too. (Though I personally find "ranch hand jobs" amusing.) But when they were saying their schtick and they showed Jake in the audience, I couldn't tell his real feelings -- he seemed to think it amusing-ish.

The clip I just watched on YouTube was edited -- the sound was a bit off the visual, too. At the very end, when I watched it on TV, when he said about everyone who struggles with love...which is all of us...and we continue to. They cut out "and we continue to" out of this YouTube version.

i think mtv edited that little snippet out... for whatever reason that i don't understand.

but, in this clip, at 2minutes and 50 seconds you hear the "really original" - fayette(another german brokie) pointed it out

I really didn't appreciate all that "ranch hand jobs" jokes they made... I thought it was stupid. I mean come on, what's so funny about two guys kissing? they were giggling about it like two little kids. Grow up!

But I think Jake handled it really well, and I liked it that he brought the atmosphere back to a more serious level and honored the movie and the kiss with the dignity they deserved.

From the beginning he has never had a problem with joking about kissing Heath or doing the love scenes, even insinuating that he enjoyed it, while at the same time pointing out how important the movie and the story are and making it clear that he does truly care about the message of the movie.

I think that shows great strength of character... and nothing is more impressive (or sexy IMHO) then someone who is comfortable enough with who they are that they can laugh at themselves.
