The Actor's Mask

The actor's mask is his window to the soul.  It opens up to vistas of the heart.

Good night, friends.  Got to go early today...  See you tomorrrow.  :)

With the gang.

Nice photo - but it is just wrong that Heath doesn't have an award too ^*) I know us Brits got it more right than the Academy but it's still wrong.
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

NoReins, things will right itself in due time, I suspect.   But even without an award, everyone knows by now that Heath is NOT an actor to be trifled with.  To be taken seriously is an important step in getting the right roles that will inevitably garner him the awards that he deserves.

Sorry if a bit OOT.

Still a bit OOT:  we all have to be a bit patient with our boys' futures.  It is good that we continue to support them as fans and celebrate them here.  :)

You're right tpe! They're young still and have many challenges and triumphs ahead of them. It will be nice to watch the progress over the years. :)

I love the picture on the right. They look really easy in each others company. And I know what's on my Christmas list too. :)
Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.

Me too.....

Dear Santa

I've been a very good little Brokie this year. I've spent hours logged on to ennisjack.com, I've LaShawned relentlessly, I've registered with iheartjake.com and I've thought about that one-handed-belt-unbuckling thing at least once a day ( :d) ). Please can you send me Jake Gyllenhaal for my Christmas? Oh hang on...I mean, please can you send me a Jake Gyllenhaal calendar for my Christmas (unless the first one is possible, in which case I will not need a calendar because the days will not matter ^-^)

Thank you
NoReins

P.S. I hope you realise that the chubby, white-beard look is so last year. Here is how all Santas should look from now on:

He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.
