Joe Nast.  Wonderful poise.   As if to say: I'll take the next step...

That vein in his temple.  Most expressive.

From the same shoot as LJN's latest fuzzy pic, I presume...

The light is like the moon...

OMG, He's so handsome :-* <^( <^( <^(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

From the 2005 Venice Film Festival.  He is a match for the Queen of the Adriatic...

Yes, me too. They are just simply beautiful. <^(

Sometimes I think it is the eyes.  Sometimes I think it is the smile.  Then again, I have said many times it is the voice.

Why pick one?  Why contest one against the other.

For now, I love the sun and the moon.

Esme will NEVER forgive me if I do not mention his tongue in this litany of appreciation.

Sunday is reserved for the worship of a deity. no? :)

What among all his attributes take precedence.

We have discussed his physical aspects.

But we have yet to touch upon his art...

In Venice, again.

But this time, it is in Terra Firma (or not so Terra Firma...)

Time for a B&W

B&Ws are the most beautiful.  Who has a silver-gelatin one of him?

I would love to have one.

He certainly looks good in denim.

He is less built up here, no?  Sometimes, I think I prefer him not too built up.

Not that he is best when he looks too boyish...

On the contrary, his look in the Venice pix is close to ideal, as far as I'm concerned...

His more "polished" look.

Not bad at all.

But the scruffy look has its undeniable charms...

A slight variation from the previous pic.

The nuance is quite beautiful when you stop and compare the difference between the two.

Very fine nuance...

He has a number of pix with sofas and chairs.

Every one of them is worth more than gold (to paraphrase a line in "At 25" ;)).

Another variation of the above pic:

Even when he approxiamtes a frown, he is most engaging...

A variation of a variation of the first pic.  :)

Now, his eyes look sideways.

For some reason, I find it easier to "read" his pix when his gave does not fall straight onto the viewer.

This pic is the most engaging of the set.

There is even a hint of a smile...

But there is something about the gaze that blurs everything else.

Yes, perhaps his eyes are the most powerful of his physical attributes...

I have decided sometime ago that the look of him in this pic  is the one that I admire the most.

Again, it is very hard to quantify.

If I recall correctly, tombul called it his more "mature" look.

There is still youthfulness here, but certainly a more mature beauty...
