quis multa gracilis te puer in rosa perfusus liquidis urget odoribus grato, Pyrrha, sub antro?

Whatever this says, the words are almost as sensual as he is.

kathy

Milton's translation: What slender Youth bedew'd with liquid odours Courts thee on Roses in some pleasant Cave, Pyrrha...  :)

Beautiful words in both languages, beautiful bedew'd youth.

What is it about him and a backdrop of reds and blues?

Red, blue and yellow in this one.  Primary colors.  And his own coloring a feast of subtlety with that primary background.

kathy

Yes, I do think it is his complexion -- it shimmers against a backdrop of primary colours.  I also think his complexion is what makes him dazzling in a white shirt and black suit.

I agree.  Also what makes him stunning in those bronzy-toned pictures I love so much.

Love this one in particular, not sure why -- it's the look through the camera to the viewer we've talked about...

kathy

I love it also because it shows him wearing his multiple rings.  :)

Yes -- something very cool about those rings he wears.  You know the story of those?  It seems he's said something about them, but I don't recall.

Thomas, those pix are beautiful but we cannot see many of them

I couldn't see any -- and I want to!  The ones you posted about "6:15 pm" Tuesday.

Good morning to you, Greenfrog, and thanks for wonderful Jake pix!  (I had a dream about Jake last night though it's a bit "personal" to say all the details...so seeig these pictures is kind of a trip.  Like if you have a dream about someone random at work or whatever, and then when you see them the next day, it's like kind of weird...)

But I must call it a night.  Go check my other boyfriend's pix, and to bed for me.

In other words, "Gotta go -- see you in the morning."

Good morning everyone :ghug:

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
