He is beautiful in a scarf or a stole.

As I said, he is beautiful sporting a scarf.

Perhaps he can one day play the role of a clergyman in some future movie.  ;)

Beautiful words in both languages, beautiful bedew'd youth.

kathy

Thanks kathy.  I do love visual and olfactory correspondences.  I find them very sensual and poetic.

Yes, I do think it is his complexion -- it shimmers against a backdrop of primary colours.  I also think his complexion is what makes him dazzling in a white shirt and black suit.

I agree.  Also what makes him stunning in those bronzy-toned pictures I love so much.

kathy

Bronzed bodies are beautiful.  And I do not mean the artificial ones.  His skin tone looks so natural and even.  It is like the blush of golden fruit.

Yes -- something very cool about those rings he wears.  You know the story of those?  It seems he's said something about them, but I don't recall.

kathy

frances posted a nice article about his rings some time ago.  I think it is in the Jake interviews/articles thread, although I will have to check.

I will look it up for you.  :)

Thomas, those pix are beautiful but we cannot see many of them

I couldn't see any -- and I want to!  The ones you posted about "6:15 pm" Tuesday.

kathy

Sorry kathy.  My fault.  I will try to find the same pix in IHJ.

A wonderful pic of him.  When he looks up and smiles in here and in a number of his other pix, you get a sesne that he is about to burst out laughing...

I love the blues in the shirt and in his eyes...  The blue of the shirt bows to the sapphire eyes.

Again, the blue of the shirt and the sapphire eyes.  He is quite stunning in this one.

I am getting dizzy again with all these beautiful Jake pix.  The black and the white over the body electric...  Then fabric shimmers and the flesh shines.

He looks slightly out of it.  :)  The lack of focus in the eyes.  The ruffled hair.  For a hand to ruffle his hair...

A bit self-effacing in this one, no?  He looks too modest -- and a bit dreamy.

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
