And the profile reveals as much beauty as it hides.  The ancients understood this.  The profile gives as an appreciation for the basic contours.

Twisted -- gorgeous pictures today, all of them.  I love this one the most -- maybe the soft lighting...

kathy

kathy, we do agree on the effect of the soft lighting.

Why does his look in this pic remind me of the peculiar Johnny Depp character (if you know which one I am thinking of)?

So serious . . .

This is a cool pic. Serious?  Or just playing at being serious?

kathy

It is probably a play at being serious no?  It is so wonderfully projected though: this play at both playfulness and seriousness.

Black is a great colour on Jake.  <^(

Excuse me, what color isn't great on him?

kathy

kathy has a point.  I would wager that he would still look good in flourescent colors...

I'm thinking Edward scissorhands..
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

The play of light on his face is like the sun shining on a half-moon.

Indeed.  This one indisputably beautiful.

kathy

Indisputably so.  A boy turning to a man.

I have wondered whether the writing on the free magazine stand is the word "seek".  If it is this word, it is so apt...

The man and his dog -- definitely it makes us love him even more.

kathy

I think you can really see the affection a dog has for his/her master.  Atticus looks just so relaxed and seems to enjoy his master's attention.

He is truly sexy in this one.  His boyish look has a certain brand of sexiness.

As I have said previously, there is a rosy blush akin to ripe fruit.  The bloom of ripe fruit.

He is dizzying, yes.  And this is one fine suit, to show him off.  I wonder if this is so-called "sharkskin," the fabric.  He sure has perfect taste in clothes,  no matter a striped t-shirt or a fine suit.

kathy

Who is his wardrobe consultant?  That person is worth his/her weight in gold.

Yes, the eyes.  Tipsy, stoned or tired?

kathy

Wonderful, kathy.  I was thinking precisely of these 3 possibilities...

I admire the eyes and the facial hair in this pic most especially.

I'm sorry, my friend, but you always admire the eyes and facial hair!

kathy

Well, there are certain pix where the eyes are practically supernatural.  By way of illustration, this:

The above pic is perhaps one of the most superlative cases.

As for the fuzz, I do like not too thick, but not overtly thin.  I prefer this one:

to this one:

Cherish beauty wherever we find it.   Remember it always, even when it is lasts for just a fleeting moment.

To be able to see beauty is like a vision of God.  It is a vision that will last a lifetime.   It will somehow endure, long after we have turned to dust.
