Blue is also perfect... ::)
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

This is a great picture.  <^(

I love profile photos of him.

When his eyes don't look at you head-on, you get a totally different feel, no?  His eyes are gem-like and are so commanding.

Just beautiful, Jake here.  And an odd picture, too, with the microphones there yet he's not saying anything, and looking off somewhere...  Maybe considering an answer to whatever is being asked.  So serious, though.  Gorgeous man.

kathy

I can't see the pic right now, but I know what you mean, kathy.  You can see this also in the BBM press interviews, no?

Gorgeous Jake (me the broken record).  Absolutely stunning.  Who's the older man?  Looks familiar.

kathy

Something about his more mature look, especially in this pic.  It is so different from the older look from the time of Donnie Darko and The Good Girl.

I just said that I especially admire Jake's mature look.  But when I look at this early pic of him in "October Sky", I feel like a fool trying to pit one Jake look against another...

I love this jacket, and esp. with a white t-shirt.  And what's inside of it, also, of course.

kathy

Yes, most especially who's inside of it.

Eyes...

I am dumber and dumber...

kathy

This picture is stunning.  <^( <^( <^(

Some of his most beautiful pix can be found in the various snow series...

Which is better: when he wears formal attire, or when he is in t-shirts?   I don't think there is an answer to this question.  It is probably a moot question...

Ah -- a conundrum?  Or could this be considered a hypothetical question?   :s)

You're right, there is no answer.  Or, the answer is yes, and yes.

kathy

It depends on your current mood, no?  He is a man of and for a million moods.

... And, is that a Jack shirt?

kathy

It certainly looks almost like a Jack shirt, no?

I love this picture.. He is so beautiful.. How many times i have said that? ;D

He looks more gentle than in some of the other pix.  This is what makes this look so disarmimg...

You mean the punky leather jacket, with the gentle man inside?  (He certainly showed gentleness in playing Jack.)

kathy

You are quite right, kathy.  It's the combination of punky leather Jacket and a gentle demeanor that gives this pic a delightful edge...

He often shows this disengenuous joy or surprise or giddiness, or unbridled happiness.  Even goofiness.  NTM, suave gentleman and hot sex kitten...but I stray -- I had just meant to mention the disengenuous joy.

kathy

I actually admire those pix that show him with a goofy look.  He is not full of himself in tose pix.  He seems to enjoy a good laugh even if it is probably at his expense.

His entire body is beautiful in profile.

kathy

There is elegance to it.  Even when he hunches, there is a sense of balance.

Treasure trail -- that's even better.

kathy

Is this a purely gay term?

I don't know -- I never heard it before myself.  Just imagine what it meant, especially with the picture it was with.

kathy

I've always thought that this was the common term for this.  Interesting.

He has it, to be sure.

When naked, his lack of head hair would only accentuate his architectonic beauty.

Yes, yes.  On the other hand, when naked, a thick head of hair would be yet a different artistic statement.

kathy

With a beautiful head of hair, some of the focus does shift to the face.  There is certainly nothing wrong with that!  :)

You are hopeless, mr. tpe.

The hair in this pic has beautiful swirls and waves, no?
Yes.  I love looking at the waves and swirls and spikes of his hair -- a work of art it itself.

kathy

That's why I love it when his hair is windblown or is uncombed.  The sheer visual aesthetics of it all.  I am quite sure his hair is made to run one's fingers through it.

Even if we object to the suit, I must say that I do love his look in Venice...

No doubt he is gorgeous in this -- it's just my "prejudice" against the more "conservative" suits.  (Formal wear doesn't count as conservative -- that's always just classy.)  His suits are obviously custom -- he is just plain exquisite in them.

kathy

Did I say that I also love the reflections from the red carpet.  There is a pinkish tinge that gets overlaid on his suit -- very beautiful.

It seems to me that the red color of the carpet is reflecting a bit on his face.  Or is it the natural rose of a blush?

You can see the reflection of red on ihs suit, too.

kathy

You are right!  I love the play of light!  :)

Whoa -- gorgeous.  I don't only like this look in this pic, I love it.  Even though no hair.

kathy

I also love the way the necklace defines the lower portion of the pic.   And the face muscles are all relaxed -- so I think we get a beautifully defined face that is helped by the absence of hair...

The eyes have it (II)

And this particular hair design (spontaneous hair design -- I'm sure he doesn't study it too much -- just musses it and goes).

kathy

Natural Jake hair.  :)  And I do love the small hollow at the base of his neck.  :)

This is a quite attractive length of hair on  him -- not buzzed, but just a nice, luxuriant short growth.  (Kind of like a cat's or dog's coat, you want to rub your fingers through it.)

kathy

Just enough for one's fingers to get lost in...
