The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

I just LOVE this picture. He looks so cheeky, his expression is wonderful. The clothes look casual and warm, and he looks GEORGOUS.  <^(

Precisely.  His look of repose robs me of repose.

Ironic, isn't it?

kathy

A pleasureable conundrum...

My heart races when I start to look at this thread...

I think he was leaving to Heath to talk about it.  His look is so serious -- and perhaps nervous!

That's true -- and I appreciate how they took these questions seriously, and answered thoughtfully and seriously when asked seriously, even under the barrage of questions during this period about the kissing, the sex, etc.  I'm sure it was nervous-making...

kathy

They answered the question in a wonderful fashion.  :)

Jennis would certainly know this.  Else I can ask around.  :)

I think I saw January 17.  That would be cool.  LA is nice in January.

kathy

And January is miserable in Chicago...  Nice.  ;)

The lack of definition is quite fascinating, yes.
I hadn't picked up on that, but that's exactly what it is -- lack of definition.  Not only in the photo itself, but in Jake in this moment.

kathy

In this pic, he appears to us as if in a dream.  :)

I'm usually going, anf GF is coming ;D

So many exquisite pix of him...  And yet they probably pale compared to the flesh and blood original...

I wuld think so...but you never know.  Who knows -- we might see just the regular guy.  Yet if so, probably would still be stunned by his beautiful regularness.

kathy

If he is indeed a home-body, then he must be a bit shy (by actors' standards!)  I would find that charming.

The longer white shirt cuffs showing adds to that -- movement and interest.  And skinny jeans -- great look.

kathy

He is not yet built-up at this stage....

I envy the shirt...

And the camera -- for having captured perfect beauty even for a brief moment...

Really?  How funny, the differences we all have, our preferences.  Do you wear any facial hair ever?  I suppose Robert was always clean-shaven.  But I remember your saying a couple other things, too, how your and his Jake-preferences were different.  Well, always room for more preferences...

And you miss him, I'm sure...

Show us what would be his favorite Jake when next you come across one.

kathy

I find it amazing that we differ in tastes and yet admire the same actor.  He certainly has a myriad felicities.

Indeed, Robert was always shaven -- same with me.  But I think it is a case to case basis.  Jake with a bit of fuzz is gorgeous.

The face is a rare flower at the end of that beautiful neck...

At the end of that tall and beautiful body...

kathy

His body is perfect.   Suppleness and grace.

Yours is a face of which I can forget | The color and the features, every one, | The words not ever, and the smiles not yet...

Beautiful poetry -- yours?

kathy

Alas, I am not that good.  ;)

I love kathy's notion of his "look of repose".  He is indeed quite qeautiful in these quiet moments.

Good night, friends.  Thank you.

He is so beautiful here.  In the rain at BAFTA's, yes?

kathy

Yes.  Although I was not sure if it is rain or snow...  :)
