I do love this particular pic by Twisted.  The backdrop of green harmonizes with his face...

I love this. This is Jake. No one to tell him, and guide him into certain positions, like the photoshoots, they all are Jake, but maybe not Jake's normal and own positions.

This is pure normal, beautiful, amazing Jake Gyllenhaal!

I know what you mean.  The magazine/style photoshoots -- he's being a model.  The awards appearances, things like that, he's totally on at every moment.  Both of those, yes, as you said, he's still very much Jake...but it's always nice to see the unguarded moments such as this, when he is not interacting with the camera.

Oh, this one is interesting, I've never seen it! It's in Berlin, Germany with its mayor Klaus Wowereit. (Who is gay, btw)

Nice pic!

How cool!  I didn't know that, about Mayor Wowereit.  What a neat picture, then.

Gorgeous picture Twisted  <^( <^( <^(

And I do believe I see some chest hair.

Yes, Greenfrog -- I frequently see that lovely light dusting of chest hair there, when his shirts are open.  And Thomas and I (and I'm sure we're not the only ones) love that little hollow at the base of his throat...

The perfect one with such power in his beauty.

And gentleness, also.  :)

Yes, tpe.  I don't mean power in the usual sense.  But the power that his beauty, and his gentleness and all his other sterling qualities, have to draw us in...

You are right, kathy.  The softness is enhanced, even though the angles of the face are highlighted.  Sounds contradictory, but...

This is a beautiful one -- I hadn't seen it.  It is a lovely contradiction, indeed, just as you said.

It's a bit difficult for me to see his face, or his self actually, without his hair.  It's just odd.  Can't quite describe it.  He's the same person, but somehow I think his hair is part of his personality, so something is actually missing, for me.  But then, I like hair.  So many men do this these days, and I find it...curious.

But I still think he looks lovely like this, too.  A fine head, and fascinating hairline.

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.
