The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Oh my sweet lord, you are killing me with these pics....I'm actually glad I didnt come on this thread sooner, I dont think I would have made it past the first week!  :8  I'm going to have be very careful coming on this thread, make sure I have a stock of smelling salts handy!  ;D

The pink jumper pic is one of your faves Rosie?  Mmm, I can see why, its lovely.  I like the fact it looks a little too small for him and that it has a hole in it - or two. I wonder how that happened?   :s)

What I love about this pic - apart from the fact that Jake looks *to die for*, is the fact that he has a white t-shirt on underneath, a la Jack.   <^(

And as for the other one, the no-underwear pic - of course its fine, I think it helps me to gain my composure once again after seeing his calvin klein boxers over and over again.    But you know, he's lying there very very provocatively, I dont think I'm thinking of his underwear anyhow.  ;)

Poor Christie -- talk about coming over to the so-called Dark Side!

Okay, here's the contract:  Subject [Jake Gyllenhaal] must in every photograph show at least one inch of underwear (either boxers or briefs acceptable) except under the following conditions:  (a) when wearing a suit or tuxedo; or (b) when subject is not wearing underwear, in which case some portion of the area commonly defined as the "Happy Trail" must be visible.

Jake is just stunning in all of the pics of this series.  At least for me, he has the perfect look -- absolutely everything perfect.

Hee, its got sheep on his t-shirt!!!!   :8  :8
Quote

I never noticed that!  (I'm still kind of scrolling past the "too young" pics.  I mean, I look, and I appreciate, but I don't linger, nor do I fall down or drool.  Well, I take that back -- there are some...I think Thomas knows which ones -- they're in some kind of concrete bench area...)

Anyway, sheep -- funny.  Little did he know what was in his future.

Imagine walking down the street and seeing Jake, stood like that, dressed like that, looking like that.......there must be a law against it, surely?  :-\\

Let's see one of three things would happen: 1) I'd faint; 2) I'd drown in my own drool or 3) I'd get arrested.  ;D

No, LJN, let's think of something better.  4) Jake would stop in his tracks when he saw you and say, "Hey."  (Balloon over his head saying "Looking good, babe -- hot damn.")  He would say, ever the gentleman, "It would please me if you would join me for a cup of coffee."  (Balloon over his head saying "Wanna see my underwear?")  You would manage to stay upright as you walked down to the corner and went inside the cafe and he (ever the gentleman) gently guided you with a hand on your back to a nice table in the corner.  You would manage to not drool all over the very hip table as his gorgeous blue eyes focussed only on you.  You would sip each other's gourmet coffee drinks and share some gooey chocolate dessert.  You would be very articulate and say all the right things about his excellent acting; and you would just happen to have all the same other interests as he has.  He would say, "No one else has ever understood me like you do."

So, how's that, just for a start?  (Are you married, BTW?  What would happen next would depend on that I guess.)

I see candyland made a reappearance  ;D

What or who is "candyland?"  Maybe I can guess, if it's obvious and has to do with this particular pic.

Read this wonderful article:

Great article!  Thanks, Thomas.  I didn't know about their "well known brawls" but then I've only this year started following them.

With a sister/best friend like this, it seems certain Jake will end up with a very "interesting" woman (if that be the case).

Mouth slightly open.                                                                              Sculpted mouth closed.

Either way, I'll take it!

I do love those "sculpted" lips.  Well, either way is fine with me. too!

A lot of art inspired by him.  Some good, some not so good.  But it's the inspiration that counts.  :)

Yes, it's the inspiration that counts, but also I recognize the pleasure of the person drawing it.  The "magic" that is in drawing, especially drawing the object of your affections.  I do pencil drawings, but only from photographs -- I can't draw just out of my head (well, I can, but they always look like someone you'd meet in prison) nor have I drawn from life, not people.  But I haven't felt compelled to draw Heath or Jake or Ennis or Jack -- it's very time-consuming...and we have such a wealth of images anyway.  Not like the old days, when a pencil drawing of a photograph very few had seen was special.)  Sorry, OT, about me.  But I do encourage and appreciate anyone's artistic rendering of these most splendid subjects.  Except I don't care in the slightest for that cartoon style -- anime I guess.

What day is it?  I've just had a dizzy spell... ;D

Although you can't see the blue of his eyes so good in this pic, the rest of his colouring makes up for it. The lips in particular. His hair looks great to me, the skin colouring, the moles....and that white t-shirt, slightly gaping at the neck... <^(

Damn Kathy I love you!  :^^) I'd love to think I'd maintain my composure. Now as to the balloon over his head- mine would say "But of course, though I'd much rather see you out of your underwear."  ^-^ I'm feeling faint after reading your scenario a few times.  ;)
