Ahh yes, no silver dress will ever look the same again. It's a shame it wasn't a bit shorter and showed off some leg as well!!

From what I've seen, the buzz from this side of the pond is Jake's Opening was one of the funniest in a long time and he impressed quite a lot of people with his singing. I hadn't watched SNL for years but I was so happy he was in most of the show because that's not usual. Plus they did not parody any of his movies at all, which is also quite unusual. He must have really insisted on this, that's our Jake, willing to poke fun, but not at the expense of his self-respect. Okay, just so this isn't too OT,better post a pic. Sorry about that....

This picture was in some star-type magazine this week. The title on the page was "This Week's Man Candy!" lol. I would have bought it but don't have a scanner anyways...

The Ellen appearance is actually still running on youtube. Here's the link:

And just to stay on topic, and tie it all together, here he is on Ellen:

Here's one, that Thomas can see too :)

Oh so loveable!!

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Thomas, between you, Twisted and Rosie, you are all trying to kill me....but "death by Jake" actually sounds ok to me.

This pic is just *to die for*.....the simple thing of Jake putting his hands through his hair.

Thanks christie.  I am so late in this thread.  I have a lot of work and catching up to do...

Has anyone here screencaps of the SNL Jake Gyllenhaal artwork?  They are truly beautiful.  It would be nice to have these posted here.

I think this was one of them (modified by jakewatch.com, I assume?):

Some kind of utter simplicity in this beauty, also.  Like it is beauty without artifice.  I look at it and it is like an enlightenment experience.  (I know, that's a little over the top, but it's so fun to try to describe these amazing feelings that Jake evokes...)

kathy

To me, it's always a zen-like expereince, when one is faced with pure beauty.

You are so right.  I don't expect you could put all these together in one pic?  It's a treasure, seeing them like this.  I actually am not sure how one would put so many pix together.  I could try, but...

kathy

Sometimes, seeing all of them together can be overwhelming...
