Incredibly so  <^(

Heath didn't know that he was presenting that night. He only found out just before they went on stage.

So he was trying to read the lines off the teleprompter (or something like that) and they both couldn't stop laughing over it.

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

I found that interesting about Jake having his hair shaved off for Jarhead - it must have been a powerful feeling, but scary too, right?  And also, I could be wrong, but I thought I read somewhere that Jake was known for being a little precious about his hair - it could have been said in a jokey way, I suppose, and it could have been Jake saying it himself, because we know he's happy to send himself up!

Well, in my opinion, he's got the best hair in the business, and so he can be precious about it if he wants.  (I've never heard that phrase, that someone would be "precious" about something.)

Shopping for that silver dress?  ;)

You are too funny!  Boy I wish I was in the TV wardrobe business and had the pleasure of wardrobing him for SNL!  Sh*t -- dying here just thinking of those lucky people.  Okay, Jake, let's tuck it in a little there -- this dress reveals every single little bulge...  Now, you wanna try that stripping off the suit again?

Now this is a very beautiful young man. The colour of the eye's, the pink of the lips, the mole, and just a hint of stomach and the everpresent underwear!!!!  (:)

You got that right.  And great hair, too.

And the mole is a "beauty mark" -- and it's funny how it is in precisely the place where ladies in old glamour Hollywood used to put theirs.  In fact, I seem to recall doing that in high school with an eyebrow pencil.

He was quite wonderful in drag, even!
:)

Quite wonderful, no doubt about it.  I sure say, good for you, Jake.  Not to be afraid to do that.  (OT, but I like how in England it's always been like family entertainment, men in drag.  It doesn't have anything to do with sexuality, or any dark connotations, etc.  As far as that goes, when being gay was more in the closet here, it was even more acceptable to do drag.  Let's say people like Milton Berle, for instance.  Had nothing to do with gay.  But bringing gay out of the closet has caused men to be more afraid to be thought of as gay.  Even like the gorgeous dandies in old films, or some of the clothes that Gene Kelly wore, stuff like that.  Okay, sorry, OT, sorry.)

He appeals to all types, and to all ages, no?

Yes, he certainly does appeal to all.  Speaking of which, Robin, my friend at work, my Halloween "Jack," is on the verge of becoming a serious Jake-lover.  All of a sudden (I've been showing her some pix, etc.) she finds him the most excellent man alive just about.  And she's not a "fan" type as much as I am.  But he got to her!

Oh, gorgeous Donnie Darko.... I watched this film again at the weekend, it is an amazing film, and Jake just captivates me from the word go...he is unbelievable in this role, its such a brilliant and original film.  The music is fantastic too.

He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.
