I'd love a thread to chat tech-stuff, insofar as image management and such.  Thomas, you say your Jake pix aren't organized.  Mine either.  In fact, early on I made only one folder, heath-jake, and so of course there are thousands of pix in there now, and I've never wanted to take the time to divide them, separate for Heath and for Jake, and one for them together, etc.  My BBM pix are organized, meaning I've named them as I've saved them (which I do not do with Heath and Jake pix, just leave them the names they are).  So I have jack 01 through jack 54 or whatever, same for ennis, plus some pix are named by scene -- reunion, leaving early, FNIT, SNIT, etc.  But I could never go through my Jake and Heath pix and find one from some certain appearance.  I do have a good "picture explorer" to go through them quickly, but there are just too many.  At least, as of two weekends ago, I have them all copied onto my portable hard drive.  I do that every once in a while.

kathy

I tried to be organized before, with separate folders for pix, links, etc.  Well, I still follows a scheme, but it is not really rigid anymore.  ;)

It normally doesn't matter too much, until you have to find a specific pic!

I love every inch of him, unconditionally, mind and body, as everyone knows...but I sure do really love his hair in this one!!  His hair is such a fascinating expression of his spirit.  Kind of like his hands.

kathy

How does one measure Jake?  What measuring rod is to be used for his beauty?

This scene is one of the most exquisite in the entire movie...

Just saw Highway...this *is* a lovely shot.

I don't think one exists, Thomas.  His beauty is in a class all its own.   <^(

I wonder also: what were they talking about?  :)

Have to go out for some lunch.  I will be back.  ;)

If ever two men should TAKE THEIR GLASSES OFF it's these two. Although one is far more handsome than the other IMO ( I'll leave you guessing which one..I know I've never said before.... ;)  ::) ) they both have beautiful eyes.

Damn -- I wish I knew exactly which pic you are referring to here.  Another incredibly observation, the sense of drama -- so true, isn't it, that he exudes dramatic interest, in his stillness as well as in his movement.  And that we follow his gaze.  Fascinating.

kathy

Yes, it is precisely the sense of movement that captures the baroque spirit -- and the sense of drama, of course.

Just that he is art, that he is a gift of the universe -- the elements of life coming together in perfection and expressing with delight.

I never saw this issue -- I like what is says there about Jarhead.

Yes, the cover caption captures the essence of why Jarhead is so different from the rest...

This is another one like Thomas said, when their hands could be seen as conversing with each other.  How I read the body language in this one is that they are keeping their hands to themselves, i.e., keeping them off each other -- perhaps some sparks had been generated, working together on the movie?

kathy

The hands can be quitre expressive, no?  Jake is so likable, but I suspect that they remain friends.  The gossip columns are just in search of an intrigue.

I wonder if he's signing his own pic?  No he can't be, because he would have to be either on the first or last page, depending on where they put the number one sexiest man alive.. ;)

Gorgeous indeed.  I understand pencil drawings, and I understand basic Photoshop work, but this and the other ones are like airbrush, and I wonder if they're "real" airbrush, or if done in Illustrator (which takes more talent than Photoshop I think).

(This is the series I've referred to with teen Jake appealing to me, as opposed to otherwise I always like him older.  But in this shoot...he sure seems to have been coming into what he has now developed into a fine art -- a most beautiful seductiveness but without being crass.)

Tht brown scarf enhances his coloring nicely, too.  But then, damn -- every color enhances him!  I wonder if there's a color that he sucks in -- chartreuse or something?  Or how about baby poo orange?

kathy

Chartreuse and orange will sparkle with gemlike tones when he wears such colors.   :)

Why do you think that little girl on the left likes him so much?  Because of Bubble Boy or something?  Or maybe she's getting it signed for her mother, who is embarrassed to get it herself.  Or else she thinks she'd faint.

kathy

The latter, I would think.  ;)

In spite of the crazy poster, I think this is the LA premiere for Jarhead, no?

But this isn't really the Jarhead look -- it's grown out from Jarhead.  I happen to adore this short growth, especially with some nice facial fuzz.

kathy

Technically, you are right, kathy.  ;)
