I mean, judging by the clothes this should be the reunion scene, but in the reunion scene he was wearing a black hat, and this hat looks like the one Ennis used to wear... explanations, anybody?

Okay, I correct myself - I checked that clip again and he wasn't wearing the black hat in that scene... from some reason I thought that he was! it wasn't making any sense... ok, just ignore me!

Keren, I see where you were heading ;) It WOULD have been really interesting if he actually wore the black hat in that scene and then you finding THIS photo  :P
