Ditto Keren

I quote Keren's words and I say a hurray for Bale's words...Thank you for posting it,Ynaff ¡  ^f^
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I think this is such a sweet story.

SIENNA MILLER has a special way of remembering her late pal HEATH LEDGER - she wears a pair of pyjamas the actor once gave to her.
The British beauty starred opposite Ledger in 2005's Casanova and the pair became close, socialising with each other after the film had wrapped.
And Ledger gave Miller the comfortable bedwear when she got soaked after falling in the rain after a night out with him and her mother in Venice.
She tells Britain's Telegraph magazine, "Heath and I had this amazing night out in Venice with my mother. It had been pouring with rain. Heath ran out in the middle of St. Mark's square and we were running around, and I slipped over.
"We all ran back to his (apartment) and he gave me these dry pyjamas to get home in."
And the star repaid the favour two years later, when the Brokeback Mountain star struggled to sleep while staying at her house.
She explains, "When he came over to my house last November, and he was having trouble sleeping, I gave them back, to help him sleep."
Ledger, who was found dead at his New York apartment in January (08), was said to have struggled with sleeping, which led him to overdose on the prescribed medication which killed him.
And Miller was so devastated after hearing about Ledger's death earlier this year (08), she asked the tragic star's father Kim to send the pyjamas to her so she would have a keepsake to remember him by.
She adds, "When he died, I was so sad that I didn't have these stupid pyjamas anymore, so his father found them to give to me."

Very sweet  <^( and sad  :\'( story indeed, thanks to post it christie  ^f^

Quote
Your co-star Heath Ledger, who plays The Joker, died tragically after the fi lm wrapped. Do you mind talking about him?

No, listen, I want to talk about Heath.
When you miss somebody, you want to speak about him. He was a unique character, a very infectious character. He was a good man, and I was glad to have spent time with him. He
was somebody who I’d been seeing on a daily basis for months. It takes a long time to accept that someone’s gone, when all body and mind are telling you that this is somebody you will know for a great deal of time. He was something of a kindred spirit to myself.

It must be difficult.

Much of it has to do with my respect for his daughter, whom he loved so dearly and whom he would talk about so often. For me, that is of
incredible importance. I hope in a small way that The Dark Knight can be a celebration of his work. Not like the hideous circus after he died, which I felt was an invasion of
a private life. This movie is not a personal home video. This is what he did. I hope people will embrace that in the correct fashion.

Performing arts centre named in honour of Ledger
1st July 2008, 11:00 WST

Construction of the $91 million venue began late last year and is due to finish early in 2010
Perth’s new performing arts venue has been named after Heath Ledger.

Family members of one of Perth’s most famous performing arts exports were at the Northbridge venue’s construction site for the announcement this morning by Premier Alan Carpenter.

"Heath Ledger theatre naming ironic"
1st July 2008, 19:15 WST

This is an op/ed piece in the local Perth paper about the irony of naming a "live" theatre for a film star. He makes some very good points. Most interesting to me however, is the idea he put forth of Heath playing Hamlet. WOW! Would that have been fantastic or what.

http://www.thewest.com.au/default.aspx?MenuID=9&ContentID=82199

He's correct, it is too bad that Perth does not have a film institute, maybe this will encourage the west Aussies to launch an effort.

That's an interesting viewpoint, and I can understand the comments he makes.

I heard that Heath really wanted to do stage work, I didn't realise he was apprehensive about it, I think he would have been truly amazing.

A film institute in Perth named after Heath would a wonderfully fitting tribute, but I do think that the naming of the theatre in his memory is a gorgeous gesture too.

I think Heath had enough skills as to triumph in the theatre as well as in the movies. No matter what he had dedicated to professionally; in both cases, naming these places after him are some wonderful tributes as he deserves.

"Heath Ledger's Final Days Among the Masses"

A story in LAWEEKLY about one of Heath's many projects to inspire the work of others . . . .

A short excerpt:

“The company started as a dream,” says Cline, Masses’ executive producer and the collective’s first official hire. “Heath kind of came in and made that dream a reality. We were all, literally, living the dream of working in a collective of artists, where everyone had great respect for each others’ work and talent, but we also had this great force behind us to actually make things happen.”

Wow.  Thank you, jackster.  I just read this entire article, and it's a beautiful story, the Masses, the group and how it came together and how Heath came into it.  This is quintessential Heath as I like to think of him.  Of course, his acting was of extreme importance to him, but he had so much energy for even more than that, and the work (and play) he was doing with these people was him having the time of his life, and free of the media, too.  I love the photos of Heath also, how I like to remember him.  I feel an even broader picture of him after reading this, knowing more details from these people close to him and involved with him in his creative work.

Thank you so much Jackster for posting it... it really is a beautiful story. Such a special glimpse into his life. And it really sounds like this group of people and this place were a safe haven for him, a place where he felt at home and free to create.
Reading about all the things he was involved in, all the things he was planning to do, just stressed it for me - he had so much to live for. He had so many plans and ideas, so many dreams. He was such an incredible, special man, and loved by so many people... the loss is unbearable.

Thank you so much for this, Jackster.

The tears starting welling up as soon as I read about Heath's career was only about to take off, compared to the likes of De Niro, the character actors. What we lost that one horrible day! And reading how Heath always rode around LA on his yellow Ducati...always something new to learn about...

Then the tears flowed non-stop, when I read on page 5...how Amato heard the news of Heath's death on Jan 22, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, filming a music video for "Wolves, Act I and Act II", and on page 7...when the crowd chanted "Home is wherever I'm with you" with Heath's bands.  :\'(

Thanks again bud.  :ghug:

Michelle Willians is making a movie about Heath.

http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/showbiz/2008-07/09/content_6831416.htm

"This is incredibly important for Michelle to do. It makes Michelle's heart ache that Matilda was so young when Heath died and she's unlikely to retain any memories of her father.

She wants to keep his spirit alive with something Matilda can treasure all her life."
