You're evil Ethan!      LOL    ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks, it was a sincere piece of advice (and very practical too). I like Heath dearly and I hope he really gets the chance to walk up to the stage. Everything is crossed.

You guys are too funny!  I'm all for Heath remaining seated as well--as in making no presentation speeches!  As for accepting the award, I think he will do ok because he doesn't have to read a script.  Nonetheless, we all know that he will be on the stage at one point or another. I have everything crossed also, but I think he's going to be on the stage when BBM wins Best Picture....but that's just my guess.

Off topic--but I watched Capote this past weekend. OMG.......it was unspeakably horrible. It was so boring. The story could have been told in 15 mins. BBM or no BBM I don't see where anyone gets Capote for "best" anything. Even Hoffman was too "over the top" with his Capote portrayal. After 5 minutes of the nasal voice it really was enough. My husband refused to even finish watching it. I really just don't get the hype?

CoraJack, thanks for your posting. I have not seen Capote nor have the desire to see it. Your post is comforting and also reassure my decision. Thanks!

Go BBM.

I know it was sincere advice.  Many great actors and actresses don't like the stage when they're not in character - think of Sean Penn.   I too wish him all the best on March 5th.

Go BBM.

Hi Ethan!

I haven't been around in awhile due to school and work wanting to drive me to an early grave....

Anyhoo-- I have been trying to watch all of the best picture nominations and so far I'm really not impressed. I gave up after Capote. My girlfriend said to give up after Capote because Good Night and Munich were even worse. I took her advice because I want the two hours that I wasted on Capote back!  I just wanted to see what BBM was up against... But again...I think they are going to have to give Crash a nod and I hate to say but I think it's about 50/50 for Crash and BBM for best picture. But I think Crash is so overhyped it's sickening.

Printable ballot for Oscar night.  Wish they arranged it by presentation, but it is a single page.

betcha they add some bbm people at last minute like jake.  heath should just stay seated.  he will probably be so nervous.  karin

Agreed. No need for him to go up there unless he wins...and I tell ya I'm even nervous about that.

I want to watch but I can't bear all the suspense leading up the awards. I may just record the event, then go online to see the results, and *then* see the shows. I know, I'm weird. But sometimes I just can't stand the pressure (and sometimes the let down) before each award presentation.

For the ppl who are unlucky, like me, and can't receive any channels that airs the Oscars, I found a way to watch the Oscars over the internet  ;D

You need the following programs:

ppstream : http://www.ppstream.com
or
pplive: http://www.pplive.com/english/index.shtml

I recommend pplive because the ppstream program is completely in chinese and the website and streams are pretty slow.

Now find the following channel on that site and click it: CCTV-6

This is a chinese movie channel that supposedly ( http://www.oscar.com/oscarnight/broadcast.html ) airs the oscars live. The quality of the video stream is pretty good.

There's another site: http://www.atnzone.com/moviezone/oscars/2006/live/ with "Interactive coverage"... But I doubt they have live video streams there.
