I can't really understand MTV nominees.Quality ones and terrible ones (Best movie : "Wedding Crashers" ?The one with Steve Carell? Oh, come on!). I know MTV isn't BAFTA, but...

We've got the best kiss nominee, at least (and Gyllenhaal)

Weird - I seem to be able to vote over and over again for Heath and Jake for best kiss.....and it never seems to ask me for my name or anything to confirm that I've voted. Also voted for Jake a few times...

Can't really be bothered voting for all the other categories though - do you have to vote for everything for your votes to be registered?

Scandalous that Heath isn't nominated and doubly scandalous that Brokeback isn't listed in the best film nominees. Still, neither is Crash....

The page loads and its the same screen that has the countdown clock, and its at 00:00, but I dont see anywehere to vote.. like, it justs says when the awards shows are.. i dont see anywhere to vote..  ???

Those are just average movies with very low gradings by the critics, that's one of the reasons why BBM was not nominated...  There's no competition at all and besides these awards are just for fun nothing serious about it!  But I do agree that they could have atleast make a better list of the movies!  I wanted BBM to be nominate in more than 4 categories specially in the 'Best Movie' and 'Best On-Screen Team' nominations. 

BEST PERFORMANCE "Jake Gyllenhaal"
BEST KISS "Jake Gyllenhaal & Heath Ledger"

By the way, these award shows and the media as well had been so unfair and ridiculous at Heath Ledger...  He did an amazing performance in BBM and yet is like nobody really cares!  I hate that, they even mentioned Jake first before Heath in the Best Kiss category!   >:( >:( >:(

I wouldn't agree with you on that. it was HEATH who was getting all the praise for his performance. in all of the newspaper articles and in media in general ( plus the noms he got ), it was always stated how 'ledger gave an amazing performance' and how gyllenhaal was 'good'. or 'good but not great'. heck, some people even said he was TERIBBLE&UNCONVINCNING. I think they both gave amazing performances, Jake's did get a little more to me than Heath's, I admit that. 


btw, I voted of course....more than once :D I genuinly like the MTV movie awards, they're always so much fun! but I'm really pissed BBM didn't get nominated in the best movie category.
it's sure to win best kiss though. gay kisses usually do :D and the BBM kiss is no oridnary kiss......;)

Why is it every time our movie gets the snub it really hurts?  I mean a REAL pain in the chest kind of hurt.

Well, I stuffed the ballot box. Voted 35 times for Jake and the boys for the best kiss. I figure if I do that every day until the awards they have to win.

We should not take this too serious. The MTV "awards" are fun...nothing more. It is not a real competiton. MTV has to feed its audience...none of the movies that were nominated for BAFTAS, Golden Globes or Oscar is nominted here...
The best movie list is nearly what I expected (I had also Harry Potter on my list)....but I will vote for Jake and the Kiss as often as possible....hope they will both attend ;D
