Oh,thank you ¡ You have really made my day ¡

Ennis murmures a half shy,half ironic,half provoking "Well..." while Jack almost jumps over him by shouting an stentoreous "Yeeeehaawwww" ¡.After that,he begins to jump and dance while he sings:

-I'm spurring his guts out! Waving to the girls in the stands! He's kicking me to high heaven, but he don't jackboard me! No!

Ennis is laughing and tells him:-There you go ¡ and tries to warn his friend who is going to fall,what it happens.

-Ennis:-I think my dad was right ¡

Both boys are laughing like crazy.

Next we see a series of seven brief scenes with no dialogue, just Santaolalla's comforting background music accompanying big sky views of the boys on horseback moving the sheep to a higher pasture. It's clear they have become friends, good friends, and are enjoying their summer routine together. Finally we see them in their new camp, Jack relaxes against a log (even though he's now the camp tender) with his harmonica, while Ennis busies himself erecting the tent. Finally stands back to look at his work::

ENNIS: Um, Tent don't look right.

JACK: Well, it ain't goin' nowhere. Let it be.

- It got flattened when that mare threw me.
- I thought you said that mare couldn't throw you.
- She got lucky.
- If I got lucky, that harmonica would have broke in two.

Jack stops playing the harmonica and laughs with the nicest laugh one can hear...

Next scene: Jack is singing in the campfire while Ennis is playing "drums" by beating the ast.
-Jack:- I know I shall meet you on that final day.

-Ennis:-Very good.

While he's saying this,Ennis looks at Jack with a smile in his mouth and his eyes.Jack smiles at his turn and says an Hummmm that promises a lot...He gives Ennis the whiskey bottle and keep on drinking.

Next scene (the great moment is coming ¡

).It's already nigh and one can see that both boys have been drinking too much,specially Ennis.

Next scene
It's already late in the evening (or even late at night). Boys are both drunk as hell, esp. Ennis lying at the fire.
- I must go to them sheep. (thinking better of it) Too late to go to them sheep now. (makes up his mind to spend the night at the fire)
Jack: You'll freeze your ass when that fire goes down.
- Uh-uh
Jack: (giving him a blanket) Alright

Ennis freezes.
Wakes Jack with his snorting.

JACK: ENNIS!

ENNIS: Whut?

The bright moon moves about the sky whereas Jack's hand moves to Ennis's as he drags his partner's fingers to his erect c*ck. Jack nestles his nose in the pillow. Ennis gives a start and tries to push Jack away from him, but instead he can't help holding him close to his breast, caressing his hair... Jack starts to unbelt his jeans, and this very moment Ennis realizes he can't contain himself any longer, turns Jack around putting him on all fours and quickly entering him. You can hear Jack whispering 'f*** me' or... you can't

It depends

This love scene is so powerful, so passionate, both the boys are so horny and hot... No wonder it took them a couple of minutes to come

and fall fast asleep

Next scene:We see Jack in a first place sleeping peacefully; by his side,Ennis awakes with a terrible headache.When he gets up,he looks at his friend to all of a sudden realising what has happenned that night.He dresses up quickly and prepares his horse to go up to the mountain,when Jack appears.

Ennis mumbles something and drives away. The moment he comes to the herd, he realized that something has gone wrong - just before he sees a sheep that has been attacked by predators - as a symbol of his own sin.

I wish I could. But my english is not good. Yes, I can read english, but writing is really too hard. Moreover, if I watch the movie in english, I can't understand anything. So I depend on you smart Brokies

Last sentence "Jack, I swear" is translated into "Jack, io giuro". This translation is literal and perfect; the interpreter is great.

Yeah, I watched the original english movie. Subtitles helped me, even if I already know what the two boys say because I have seen the movie, in italian, so many times...

But I have to say that the italian version is much more impressive, exciting and emotional, and this is because of the language. For my latin ear, event if actors are great, english language sounds so inexpressive and shallow... but if you watch the italian version of the movie, MY GOD... you will have the chills for almost every sentence!!!

. But there's something very expressive in the Italian characters of Ennis and Jack, especially in Ennis, to my 'fonetic mother tongue' ears. I so like Ennis saying "Non ce la faccio più, Jack, non ce la faccio più". Jack's voice is relatively close to the original one.

Our Russian interpreters then did a bad job, as Ennis's "Jack, I swear" they translated as "I still remember you".

Well, I've seen some Italian episodes, esp. the one where Ennis holds Jack to himself beside the fire, the voices are ok, that's true, but... I miss Heath's and Jake's voices, I mean the words they actually pronounced and keep translating their talks into English to myself...

A whole series of wordless scenes capture the conflicts and thoughts of Ennis and Jack. Ennis realizes what he's done, what it means, and who he is. Finally, before supper, he sees that Jack has come up to where he's guarding the sheep. Ennis walks over to where Jack is reclining on the ground, crouches down next to Jack silently while they both stare out at the sheep and the fading mountains. Eventually Ennis gathers his spare words, and without looking at Jack says:

ENNIS: This is a one-shot thing we got goin' on here.

Both keep on looking at the horizon,without daring to look at each other directly.By night,after having supered,we see Jack taking off his clothes inside the tent,while Ennis,sitting on a trunk,appears really nervous and doubtful.After having looked at Jack twice,he gets up and goes to the tent;he enters shily,with his hat in hand (maybe for covering something?...)and approaches to his friend slowly.Jack gets up and look at him with the loveliest glance in the world,while taking off the hat and caressing his hand softly...

Ennis tries to look away, but can't help leaning forth as if wanting to kiss Jack, though it's perfectly obvious he's VERY embarrassed and shy. Jack's eyes are beautiful as hell and blue as heaven. The only look of his can petrify... He touches Ennis's cheek with his rough cowboy hand, his fingers caressing his partner's temple... Jack finally gets down to what is expected of him, moving atop of Ennis and covering his face and lips with hot kisses. Ennis lifts up his head to kiss him back, while his hands are stroking Jack's strong arms...

New scene: In camp. Ennis has gone up to the sheep. Jack is chopping wood. Joe Aguirre rides up on his horse and stares at Jack with inquired eyes.

Aguirre : Twist, your Uncle Harold's in the hospital with pneumonia. Docs don't expect he'll make it. Aguirre pauses for a moment, then continues: You ma sent me to tell you...so here I am.

), the hail is starting to rattle on the tent... The boys are in a great hurry to cover all their belongings and get into the tent. Ennis:
- The sheep will drift if I don't get back there tonight!
- You'll get pitched off your mount in a storm like this! - Jack cries out. - And you'll wish you hadn't tried it. It's too cold, close it up.
They close the tent.

Next scene:After the storm,all the sheep are got mixed with the ones from others owners; the basque sheperds are examining and counting them.Ennis and Jack are looking it on their horses with a worried expression in their faces.

-Ennis :-What are we supposed to do now, huh?

-Jack :-Get on in there and untangle them Chilean sheep out of ours, I guess.

Ennis is still on horseback, but Jack is walking around on the ground separating Aguirre's flock from the Chilean flock.

Jack dragging a sheep across the pasture: Damn, half the god*amn paint brands have worn off!
Ennis: We gotta try...the least we can do is get the count right for Aguirre.
Jack, still dragging one of the sheep: F**k Aguirre!!!!

Ennis: Oh yeah... f*** Aguirre... whut if we need to work for him again, huh? You think o' that? We gotta stick this out, Jack!

( I just love the different moods of the boys. Ennis: so serious and worried, then Jack: like he couldn't care less)

-Ennis:-You'll run them sheep off again if you don't quiet down

Jack looks at him with a nice smile while he keeps on playing,and Ennis gives him an smile back with a love's look in his eyes.
