Goofs for
Brokeback Mountain (2005) Crew or equipment visible: When Ennis and his wife are fighting at one point they are passing their daughter back and forth. During this back and forth, her pajama top hikes up a bit and you can see her microphone cord.
Continuity: Jack is chopping wood when Aguirre approaches to give news of his sick uncle. Jack places the next log on the chopping block as he turns to speak to Aguirre. After the conversation is over and Jack turns back to chopping, the log is gone and he replaces the log that was never chopped.
Continuity: The evening Jack and Ennis first both spend the night at camp they are drinking from a bottle of whiskey. That bottle, which is only half full to start, refills itself through out the evening. At the end of the evening both guys are very intoxicated but the bottle is fuller then it was earlier.
Continuity: Ennis helps Jack to start his truck, then improperly closes the hood (you can see it isn't properly latched. Shortly afterward, Jack gets in his truck to drive away and the hood is fully closed.
Continuity: When Jack parks his truck before going to meet Joe Aguirre for the first time he parks it head-in (facing the building.) When he and Ennis come down at the end of the season and start the truck it is facing the other way.
Continuity: When Jack is driving away after the pair's first summer on the mountain, the shape and size of the abrasion on his left cheekbone change in each shot.
Anachronisms: When Cassie dances with Ennis the first time, the jukebox is playing Steve Earle's "The Devil's Right Hand". In the movie it is supposed to be the late 70s, but that song wasn't released until his album Copperhead Road came out in 1988.
Continuity: When Cassie is confronting Ennis at the diner about his disappearance, he is eating the last remains of a piece of pie. When she gets up from the table to leave, we see the plate again and the piece of pie is now intact.
Factual errors: Early in the film (1963 Wyoming) a train is seen crossing the screen without a caboose. Cabooses were required by law on all trains into the 1980s.
maybe this is why they didn't get best make up or best editing award nomination!!!!
