Not just his face, but also the sheen of light that pools in the fabric covering his left arm.  The nuacnes in shading are so nice in black and white.

Funny that he looks most stunning at the tail end of the evening.  It shows that he has a natural appeal.   He is great in formal attire that shows some elements of informality -- hair in slight disarray, skin glistening from a bit of sweat, shirt a bit rumpled, face a bit flushed with the lines more relaxed...

His frame is beautifully articulated by the white shirt and sweater...


This is true, but something more than that -- a sweater like this connotes all sorts of things:  casual comfort, warmth, familiarity, cuddling, home (and a touch of old-style academia).  And that style of shawl collar isn't as frequently worn by men as by women, I think, and so I like that.

I have sweater that has a similar look (quite generic -- is his gray?), but certainly not that kind of collar.  It certainly makes a difference here...
