The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

How come Jake looks sexy doing just about anything, or nothing?   <^(

I couldnt help noticing how low his trousers were.  Like Rosie, I dont mind at all.  The lower the better really.  :)

Sam :)

I love the peachy cheecks :) Well they are almost pink, but anyways.. ^f^

Ahhh, Sam.   <^(   Its Jake and his peachy cheeks and pink lips that kept watching this film until the end....otherwise I probably would have switched off after about 10 minutes.

Thats the power of Jake.  And his pink lips.   <^(

Thanks for all these pics, they have cheered me up considerably. I've just read a really sad fan fic and needed cheering up badly.  This has done the trick.   ^f^

There is beautiful candor in hsi face.  It hints at a beautiful personality.

Candor - that's just the right word, Thomas.

Can we find any "negative" quality about him?  (Why even try?)

Do you think this was intentional on the part of the photographer?

Well, yeah -- that whole series with the poles, full of intriguing post possibilities.  That certainly was intentionally chosen.

As to this pic...I love Jake in a thick, cuddly sweater.  Makes him seem like the kind of stay-at-home or take-a-walk kind of guy that I love.

From the hair, I'm thinking this was when he was in New York.

Yes, it is precisely the sense of movement that captures the baroque spirit -- and the sense of drama, of course.

Fascinating pic -- that very beautiful man taking a picture of Jake and himself, and he's got his arm on Jake's, too.  I'd love to be him.  (Not really -- rather meet him as somehow in the business, not as a fan.)  But that poor person in the wheelchair is being all smothered with people all around.  Then there's the black guy, we've seen him in these NY pics, right?  Jake's bodyguard at least for this trip.  That's a good career, if you're that kind of person, and if you can request who you want to be a bodyguard for!  In Jake's case, he would have this whole swarm of bodyguards -- us.  Kind of like those Verizon commercials with the person's "network." :)

Jake at the Castro: ;)

The Journal of Sexiness!  LOL!!

But hey, when was he at the Castro??  You mean the Castro Theater in SF?  How'd I miss knowing about that?

I know we're all a little "perverse," but is it perverse that I love his not-straight teeth so much?  That curvy line of his teeth is like a line of music.

But for now, I will say good night, and hope to see you again tomorrow.  :)

Ars Poetica:

Everything is to love in this pic -- just lovely.  Except maybe his hair is a little too tame. :)  I'm particularly fond of this jacket of his.

Jake was magnificent in that scene.  Chipping a tooth was worth it...

Do tell -- I don't know this story.  Maybe I vaguely heard something when I was a virgin newbie and it didn't click.  Do I need to study his teeth before Jarhead and after?  Or did he get it fixed?
