This is the last for me for the night. Sorry if it's in the wrong thread but sometimes I miss Jack in here. Welcome back to all our Paris brokies. Good night, happy Jake dreams.  <^(

Hardly know what to say about this expression of Jake's.  He could cast a spell, the way he looks at you...

It's sooo late. What am I doing up? Working, of course. I saw these and thought I would post them for those who haven't left for Paris yet.

They're of Jake and Lance at last year's Tour de France.

Ooo who's that mystery man behind those sexy glasses? And how do I get him in spandex?

Very slightly, shades of John Lennon in those glasses.

Oh any excuse to talk abou this!! They didnt have a sign they just shouted his name, and he turned round and saw them.  That was it, and then he really connected with them which I think is just the loveliest thing he did.

Very cool.  With all the people focused on him (though in this case there were all the other people there of interest to some people...I guess...not to me), for him to respond to random calls of his name, and respond as he did -- yes, so cool.

:t) Rosie, I should like to be the t-shirt between his tooth  *^) :i (^).  I am mad isn't it ? (for a woman of 62)  :8 :8  But, it's so pleasant to be fool sometimes.

Same here, titabeille -- as you know, I'm right up there with you.  Let's just say we've had more years to develop our fine senses of discrimination for the most beautiful of the human male species...

Being a "fool," as you say, is what keeps us young!

This Jake right here is mine...

I'm quite here by the way, every day, you crazy Jakey-freaks.  Just that number one I got like 30 pages behind!  That can happen real fast, like just when away a long weekend.  So I just save, don't post.  Save, drool, faint, hunger...

I'm totally happy to see all the DSD'ers here.  I've been haunting these pages for a long time, in good company -- and now even more good company!

And more often than I like, my computer freezes when I try to post a reply -- don't know what that's about.  But it's okay now, and here I am...still saving, drooling, fainting, hungering...

Mmm, I love that series (which is new to me), Kathy. I'm a bit of an odd duck myself.
But his demeanor seems to secure the roaming feeling of being lost or forgotten in such dim surroundings. For some reason, it reminds me of a man who is summoning another adjacent him some ways in the field of grass, just seconds from introducing his favorite bottle of wine, perhaps in a tucked away cabin. Maybe under the moonlight, he and the other, right there in the field about some parted grass.
Mind you, in that same handful of seconds he's been minimized to trousers, socks, just some moonlit flesh. And while my description is probably left field, inside I can't seem to go wrong with the image of Jake, myself, and wine; in a basement, at the airport, in the middle of the swaying green moonlit field, I've found a place in line.  :cr)  (t)

If I dream of him tonight, lord have mercy.  *^)

Your imagination is very poetic, orangetruck.

Actually, he's only 26.  His birthday is in December.  (I'm not obsessed, no not me... ^*())

Hey, I'm obsessed, too.  So I get a demerit for that.  I know very well he was born in Dec 1980, but...  Actually I think it all started because Jack and Ennis were the same age, and then a bit later when I realized Jake is some two years younger...I get confused.  I get confused easily in this thread.

I can't believe I'm caught up on these pages!  It's been weeks.  Actually, I'm not caught up.  I keep a little note here what page I left off on, and sometimes I just have to skip ahead.  I have, for instance, pages 201 through 234 I haven't looked at, and pages 245 through 267.  Plus some segments of pages from what is now archived.  Now who's obsessed, huh??

So here's an oldie...one of my favorites.  This is like a WW2 flyboy.  Imagine he parachuted into your little countryside town, and you had to give him shelter, comfort and succor (whatever that is...but whatever it is, sounds like something I'd like to give him).

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

OH joy is me!  Some new pics from the 'Midnight Mile Press Conference' at the Toronto film festival...

I've been to this place... &**)  and I bet you,  when Rendition is premiered there, I know TWO DEDICATED JAKE LOVERS, ( er....we know who I mean right?  Em, Missy?)  ...who will not be letting us down on this thread with their 'Jake over here!' screams and subsequent pics...yes?  ;)

But in the meantime, let's swoon over these ones heh?

Oh God.  The upward look of the eyes, the blue of the eyes, the innocence of the eyes. What? I bet he can be a little  >:D at times..... ;) ;D  (t) (t) (t)  and oh yeah, the flush of the cheeks.  (t)
