The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Twisted, thank you so much!  That's precisely what I needed.  I asked Greenfrog because I knew she was up, early there, late at night here.  Perfect...and thanks.

Here's the one I love of Jack, belting it out with all he's got, but you can't see Ennis's face.

GF, thanks for these!  The two stairwell pics are just slightly different -- I've never actually seen this one.  This is just so wonderful...

I love the first part and the play, but I do also like that it turns into a fight.  It is just the intensity, it becomes too much, Ennis just crushed by having to leave.  Plus, I love how Jack comforts Ennis (and gets a punch for his effort)...and of course, this leads to the mingling of their blood...forever.

Once in every life
Someone comes along
And you came to me
It was almost like a song

You were in my arms
Right where you belong
and we were so in love
It was almost like a song.

Truly,Madly ,Deeply... sigh..
