The girls in the background. I can really get that Alma Jr. is absorbing Jack's air, his feelings towards Ennis. It helps secure my belief that she in the trailer scene knew. She understood what had wrecked her father..

I love this little touch that Heath added here. Poor Ennis, probably never saw a wristwatch up close, certainly never owned one himself. Heath's actions here pick up on this awkward unfamiliarity with the way he handles and fiddles with this strange new piece of equipment.
