Maybe we underestimate Lureen. She was cooking for 3 hours for the Thanksgiving after all. Didn't ask her Ma to do that for her... maybe she was all around her job AND her home...  ???

Aha, you're right about her cooking Thanksgiving dinner!  Funny, though, I found myself thinking of their home life after I posted that, and I think my version would be that they had help come in to clean and such.  They had enough money, and parents were important, and belonging to the "country club" set and all.  Lureen maybe cooked when she wanted to, but I'll bet she didn't scrub the kitchen floor and things like that.
