This scene came back to mind after seeing the film again yesterday, and I must admit I was wishing that the crying scene was left in the final cut. Even if it doesn't change the meaning very much, I was thinking that it was time that we saw Ennis "losing it" as Esme said. He is always "putting reins" on his feelings. When he is alone in Jack's room, he could loosen up a bit, I think.
Anyway, I cried in Jack's room, even if Ennis didn't !!
