Thre's not one flaw on him.. Sheer Perfection.. I love him <^(
The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Good morning all :ghug:

Little Jake in the morning don't harm no one ;)

You can say that again...

Good Morning Twisted. O0
Danny and me, Danny and me,  Danny and me and the sea,
Bobbing out of Pleasure Bay, the islands on our lee;
Spectacle, Georges, Gallops, the sun-wash on the brine
Castle Island where Skovo danced a bear-dance in bear-time.
The Golden Boy has chosen, I know what I will be
Danny and me, seanchai, Danny and me and the sea.

A bit OOT, but I love these quirky organists at the older movie theatres...

The studs, perhaps?  ;)

Oh you are bad.  No, really -- I didn't notice until later that this is in the "stud" series.  I am talking about his face here...  It could be a late-night look, in line with the disheveled formality.  He is finished for the night with being beautiful for the camera, and now just wants some time to be himself.  Perhaps.  I suppose we can read any scenario we would like into some of his photos.

kathy

You have it here, kathy.  He is best when he is just himself.  :)

Thank you, tom (earlier post), but it is this that is perfectly said.  I was trying to say that before, about that stud photo, and this is exactly what I was trying to grasp.  The tail end of the evening, his natural appeal.  (No surprise there -- we know he has that.  No formal wear on Brokeback!)  But also, what you said about his formal persona with a bit of informality.  This is probably like the Japanese design concepts, where an imperfection is included in some exquisite piece of art or home or garden.

kathy

Exactly.  It is this form of aesthetics that is at play here...

Yes -- he has such warmth in lighting and clothes like this.  As opposed to his more stunning beauty we see sometimes at night in formal wear, or in B/W.

kathy

He has a different look when he is in black formal wear.  Honestly, I thought his look at the start of the Oscars was a bit too conservative, but the way the look unraveled later in the evening was a stunning transformation.  You can't help thinking of it as a transformation, even though the clothes are the same...

One after another after another -- what is this, like water torture?

kathy

It is literally dizzying -- going through this thread...

kathy

Beautiful is he, my God!

He is my beautiful God ??

Perfect!  Absolutely balsphemous, but perfect!

And this i love the best also.  <^(

The effect is softer in B&W.  Again, the sunlight filtering through his hair...

No :) I love everything.. <^(

This is the most beutiful picture i have ever seen. I love this.

His hairline is forming a shape of heart.. you know what i mean ?

Yes, I know what you mean.  I love his hairline.  Though technically called a "widow's peak."

kathy

It is his eyes in this pic that inebriate me.  But I admit that the hair adds to the overall effect...

Need I say that I also love this pic?

Never has . . .  Never will  <^(

The vertical effect is so wonderful when broken by his arm at the top part...
