The moment that devastates me the most is the image of his friends and family on the beach, seeing him off... That's a real killer!!!!  :_( They were trying to be joyful, but the real joy was missing ... it was far far away, somewhere in heavens...  :_(

TWO F!@#$G YEARS WITHOUT YOU...DAMN ¡
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I am dreading tomorrow.  I'll never forget when I heard the news - I was in my car, on my way home from work.  The radio said Heath Ledger was found dead, and I thought surely I had heard wrong.  When I got home, I raced to the computer, and there it was, all over the internet, the horrible news.  I literally fell to the floor, screaming and crying.  I've never in my whole life had a reaction like that to someone's passing - not even someone I knew!

It was such a shock.  It was weeks before I could even talk about it to anyone in RL.  Thank goodness I had this place to come to, and the LiveJournal community.

It still hurts, two years later... :_(  :_(  :_(

We'll never forget you, Heath.
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

"Brokeback mountain" had left in me an immense sorrow,
an unbearable cognition how irrecoverable the time is...
Once you let the chance slip away, you can never get it back.
Coz it passed.
Coz it floated away in the fast river of life.
I was devastated beyond the human's limitations.

Ennis Heath had gone without me knowing him well,
without me enjoying his fabulous talent when he was alive.
I truly felt his greatness only when he was already gone.
So irreparable time! So much sadness in me...

Little darlin, rest in peace
in my loving heart,
like this, always ...

I remember that it was very late here in Spain,so I was going to bed; but in the last moment,as if I have guessed that something has happenned,I went to my email account to take a last glance. And then I saw in my yahoo account first page the news...
My first reaction was not believing it and entering here to ask to tell me that it wasn't true, that it was some kind of stupid joke that somebody has done here in Spain because information didn't arrive well from USA...The following day was horrible, even if my Brokie coworker and me counted with the understanding and help of the rest of mates in our office,as I already explained in its moment...
And now that two years have passed, sometimes I have the same feeling; that everything has been a nightmare,a bad joke or an stupid marketing invention. And that some day he will appear telling that he had needed to escape from Hollywood noise and gossip to find himself...What a nonsense,no?.But if it were true... :_( :_( :_(

Not nonsense, MPJ! Only soft human nature that can not easily tolerate such a devastating news. We simply try to avoid the worse information, which unfortunately is the truth...  :(

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

- Annie Proulx -

From the vibration of the floorboard on which they both stood, Ennis could feel how hard Jack was shaking.

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
With your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Light up your face with gladness
Hide every trace of sadness
Although a tear may be ever so near
That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just...

Smile, though your heart is aching
Smile, even though it's breaking
When there are clouds in the sky
You'll get by...

If you smile
Through your fear and sorrow
Smile and maybe tomorrow
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile...

That's the time you must keep on trying
Smile, what's the use of crying
You'll find that life is still worthwhile
If you just smile

-"Smile" Sung By: Michael Jackson(R.I.P.)
'Cause I don't want to say goodbye
Let the stars shine through
No, I don't want to say goodbye
All I want to do is live with you

Together, our two hearts are strong
Don't you know that's where our hearts both belong?

No matter how many months and years I've left this beautiful site, no matter how many new emticons I see here when you write a message, no how many new members join and others are lost, and no matter how many years it's been since Heath Ledger's death, I still will remember how this place was my first home.

This place was where I grieved, where I felt comfort, and where I made new friends during the months after Heath's untimely death.

I remember where I was when Heath died. In my living room, playing a handheld game that I had just found and hadn't played in years. Mom was on the computer and dad was watching the news. I was too focused on the game when my mom told me to look up at the TV screen. Then she typed up something online and showed it to me. It said that Heath was found dead in his Soho apartment. I immediatly asked to go and I was the first one to post on here about it. I was speechless and my heart dropped that day. I must've been on here the rest of the night just watching the news expand around the world. It was heart-breaking.

Last night, at 12:00 in the morning on Janurary 22, 2010, I was in a movie theater looking up and seeing Heath Ledger on my screen..alive and incredible. It was the very last showing of the Imaginarium at our local theater. Everyone that I went with praised the film but the most popular comment abou the film was..."Why did he have to die?". I told everyone later on that night (we were sleeping over a friends house) that it today was the day Heath died, and everyone was stunned. I still remember him..and always will.

It might be two years, but Heath will forever be in my heart.
"The day I stop having fun, I'll just walk away." -- Heath Ledger

"For a moment in our lives, forever in our hearts." -- Heath Ledger, 1/22/08

To a place where anything could happen at any time.
Where chaos could reign but the world would never end."

Two years -- it showed me that humans are (mostly) programmed to survive, even when the bottom has dropped out of their world. Heath changed my life, he changed the lives of so many people I have come to know and love. The tears I continue to shed and the longing which is always in my heart are just a tiny reflection of what a great and unique man he was.

Light a candle in remembrance of Heath.

Where I live it has been raining all week, it is like the heavens are crying. And then today the sun broke through and it made me feel a little better. I thought of these wonderful words by Eric Clapton:

                               Tears In Heaven

                           Would you know my name
If I saw you in heaven?
                           Would it be the same
If I saw you in heaven?

                            I must be strong
                            And carry on,
                            'Cause I know I don't belong
                            Here in heaven.

                            Would you hold my hand
If I saw you in heaven?
                             Would you help me stand
If I saw you in heaven?

                             I'll find my way
                             Through night and day,
                             'Cause I know I just can't stay
                              Here in heaven.

                              Time can bring you down,
                              Time can bend your knees.
                              Time can break your heart,
Have you begging please, begging please

                              Beyond the door,
                              There's peace I'm sure,
And I know there'll be no more
                              Tears in heaven.

                       * Dear Sweet Heath you will always be loved & missed *

I felt very sorry that on the 22nd I was away camping, sans internet access.  Exacerbating the already-there sadness that I'll doubtless always feel on the 22nd of January, was the keen awareness that I couldn't be here at camp, sharing my feelings with my Brokies, like I did on the first anniversary of our Heath's passing.

So, this is the first chance I've had to come pay my respects, and it does pain me that they come late.  :(

Well...what to say; I miss him and love him still, we all do.   :_(

Although two years have served to - very gradually - lessen the intensity of the pain and grief, they have not managed to make me love him less.  The contrary.  Two years without Heath's bodily presence have only served to grow my love for him.  The grief is quieter these days, I've reached as much "acceptance" as I probably ever will, but I love him more than ever.  The quieting of the intense, overwhelming grief of the first year deprived of Heath - which almost overshadowed, in a way, my love for him - has allowed me to feel closer to him, to feel him around more strongly, and see him in everything around me.  In the absence of that crushing grief that is always the strongest in that first year, I no longer exactly feel like he is even gone.  How can I truly feel he is gone, when I can feel his beautiful spirit around me whenever it is I take a moment to sense it?

We love you, Heath, just like this, always.

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Heath, knowing you're not with us anymore
watching Brokeback Mountain is more painful than ever.

Life is full of sadness and sorrow. BBM was depressing enough after Jack died, we thought it couldn't get worse and then...
we've lost our Ennis as well.

 :(

Chocolate-covered cherries.

Usedta love them things. They way they'd kinda bust open when ya bit em, and that syrupy stuff inside, then the cherry. I'd bite off one side a the shell real careful-like, so none a the syrup spilled, then suck all the gooey out, then fish out the cherry with my tongue, then I'd just have the chocolate shell left and I'd nibble on it till it was gone.

I hadta make em last.

....

That is the sexiest thing I've ever heard.

Last night I had a dream about Heath. He was starring on stage in NY and it seemed so real for a few moments when I woke up I thought he was there. I think he was the type of actor that would have done well on the live stage as well as motion pictures.

You're right, Heath was a great talent, we would see him quite high on the movie ...
He gave self a lot of in movie, and it destroyed him, no?
