This one is a little more upbeat. I meant to post it on his birthday but didn't want to feel like I was 'overposting.'

I hope you are in a peaceful and happy place.
We feel you here still and will love and remember you always.
Look in on us now and then, will you?

Gorgeous!  <^(

What is "overposting" when it comes to the memory of Heath?!  :*(

Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay.

~Robert Frost~

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Oh that's so great! Thank you for letting us know Theresa!

You're very welcome.  Only one thing though, you will notice that The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus is listed as a Out of Competition film at Cannes. It is important that you understand the meaning of that so that you will understand the film is not part of the official program though it will screen. Likely only once as a premier from what I am understanding. Below is the definition of an Out Of Competition Film at Cannes.

Not strictly an official section per se, the Festival's practice of screening films 'out of competition' has been around since the very beginning, but has increased in popularity (and numbers) over the past few years. Films shown in this category generally do not fit into any other section of the festival. They are typically special events or films that the Festival feels deserve the honour of screening at Cannes, but do not justify a position in the official program (or perhaps do not meet the selection criteria).

I hope this helps explain.

I'm just thrilled it's getting to where the public can see it and I hope it just blows them away and they love it.

I'm so glad you guys got to see some of his messages.  I thought they were all lost as well as I never kept them since his dying never crossed my mind.  I always thought there would be more time, more visits, more laughs.  Never in my wildest dreams did I think that it would be any different.  So, I had grieved the loss of them.  Thankfully, on his thread over on the Parnassus site are many fans who were there to support Candy who had saved messages and posts and they started posting them.  I just cried I was so thrilled.  And, I'm so happy that all of you got to share them.

Of course you had no reason to think it would be different, Theresa... the thought that someone so wonderful and so young and full of life would suddenly die is just incomprehensible. If someone told me a year and a half ago that I'd be grieving over him now... it still feels surreal. His messages for his fans are another testament to us of the kind of person he was, and we'll cherish them forever. But you have much more than that Theresa, you have all the personal memories of the times you spent together and the laughs you shared. and this is the most precious gift he gave to you, just being a part of your life.

Thank you for the wonderful job you're doing on the Parnassus forum. We can see in his messages how thankful Heath was for everything you did to support Candy, how much he appreciated the support from all his fans, so I know he'd feel the same about the Parnassus site and all the fans supporting it. Being there, posting, promoting the cause and just sharing our love for him, is a way to do something in his memory, something we know for sure he would be greatful for, even if he's not here anymore to say "thank you".
The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

You are so sweet.  Thank you.  Believe me I cherish every memory.  Having the forum for everyone and promoting the film is such a privilege for me.  It means a lot to me to be able to not only do something for him but for all of his fans who have been so devoted.  We're all in this together.

The Forever Friend

On my own, but mostly the savannah,
Where the tumbleweeds fade away and die,
Before the glassy sun burns a summer of crystals,
The glistering waters of the high seas
Of which was so far a place as of where vultures roam.
I looked around but you weren't anywhere...
You used to say that you would never die,
But I took the wrong meaning into my heart.
Now the sea is wild with despair,
Deep blue like a prairie of flowers blue,
Where all children of God rest in eternal peace.
I saw you at the end,
You and I, brother and sister of nature,
Brother and sister of heaven and earth,
Your usually calm and heavenly eyes full of tears,
Bitterly falling one after one into a river,
Then the river of life turned red in blood.
My eyes watched in horror.
Slowly and deadly your heart became poisoned,
You disappeared without saying good-bye,
Not a word came out of your mouth.
You became like desolation in its grave.
When once the skies were a realm of stars
And the sun shone brightly in summer skies,
You were there to share the calmness;
But now I stand here in midst of the tall grass
And only the savannah remains.

La mort n'est pas l'obscurité, c'est une lampe qui s'éteint car le jour se lève.

Death is not darkness, it is a lamp that goes out for the day rises
.
As the moon lingers a moment over the bitterroots, before its descent into the invisible, my mind is filled with song. I find I am humming softly, not to the music, but something else, some place else, a place remembered; a field of grass where no one seemed to have been except a deer, and the memory is strengthened by the feeling of you, dancing in my awkward arms.............

I just feel like I have to get it out or I'm going to burst. I need to know that I'm not alone in this...

Today is the 22nd again... 16 months without our boy. and today his last movie, The Imaginarium Of Dr. Parnassus, is screened for the first time in Cannes festival.

Some people have already seen it this morning, more are going to watch it tonight. I'm sitting here, waiting anxiously for the reviews, and this waiting is nerve-wracking and I feel like I'm going to burst into tears any minute now. ok, I'll admit it, I'm already crying.

This is the last movie, Heath. That's it baby. There won't be any more. This is the last chance we'll ever get to see you on the big screen again in a new role. To hear you speak in your beautiful voice lines that we haven't heard before and sweep us off our feet into a new magical world. There will be interviews and press conferences, but you won't be there. There will be photos and we'll see Terry and Johnny and Jude and Colin and everybody else, and there'll be a big black hole where you were supposed to be. No one is able to fill that hole, no one.

I want to see this movie so badly, but I'm also dreading it because I'm afraid I'm going to cry through the whole damn thing, knowing that it's really over.

I've just read this among the reviews that are starting to come out:

As Gilliam’s “The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus” premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, the filmmaker said Ledger almost co-directed the film.

“Heath was enjoying himself so much, and he was ad-libbing a lot, which I don’t normally allow ... but Heath was just brilliant at it, and he got everybody else going,” Gilliam said. “Everybody was just energized by Heath. He was extraordinary. He was almost exhausting because he had so much energy.

“That just passed on to everyone else. Everyone’s part grew because they were full of Heath’s energy,” Gilliam said. “What I thought was interesting was to watch people filling the void that Heath left. Everybody was just growing to make sure that there was no void left in the space that Heath had left us.”

The movie closes with the dedication: “A film from Heath Ledger and friends.”
