Ennis: "there's no reins on this one, and it scares the p--s out of me."

I love this line, cause it really comes close to him saying how completely out of control and strong his feelings were about Jack. Everytime I think about him saying this, I can see him on a runaway horse with a broken bridle, running down the mountain never knowing if the footing will hold or if he can dodge the next branch.
Just the thought takes my breath away.

i don't know why that stood out to me, it's a pretty common line but it just lays bare all the emotions really at work here. like, they're gruff and tuff men sure but they really love each other

For some reason the quote that I seem to remember the most is right after Ennis shoots the elk and Jack pushes him and screams, and then Ennis says something along the lines of "I was tired of your dumb ass always missin'!" and pushed Jack back. It just made me smile for some reason.

Yeah this is the best on screen relationship cause of stuff like that. Not some big "carrying her up the stair case in dramatic fashion" thing, (not there is anything wrong with that ;-) ) but stuff like that.... Damn, they loved each other. Damn I want to see it again!

Yeah, I like the "dumbass missing" line, too.

Two of my favorites are recently:

Ennis: "Now you're sleepin' on your feet like a horse." <siiiigh> could be I just love that scene to pieces, but the tone of his voice when he says that...!! :-[

another one:

Ennis: (responding to Jack's harmonica playing) You'll run them sheep off again if ya don't quiet down.

maybe it's the look and smile he gives Jack after that that's so sweet...but I love the playful nature of things between them then, and how Jack doesn't even need to acknowledge him, but you *know* that he's grinning like a fool inside.

I didn't see that this was posted already, but actually, this quote is in the movie. Jack says it during a tracking shot of them from across the street of them walking to the bar after they first meet and get instructions from Aguirre.

I'm not sure where to post this bit so I thought I'd stick it here...

In the trailer its been mentioned that Jack says 'if we're gonna be workin to together then we should start drinkin together' ...but not in the film. In addition there's a scene where Jack is stood on a bridge with his shirt off but this isn't in the film. Also i think having Ennis hug Jack from behind and Jack saying 'it could be like this, always' on the trailer is a real tear jerker ...

It is a simple and powerful sentence. I wonder how many of us could get this one out. Jack is just romantic and adorable.
