Next scene.
In the rodeo,Jack is waiting for his turn.One hears in the megaphon:

- Here she comes, ladies and gentlemen! Oh boy, look at her fly! This is Lureen Newsome from right here in Childress, Texas! Come on, folks, she's gotta hear it, let's give her a big hand! She's turning on two! She's around three! Come on, folks! Help her home! Come on! Come on! And the time is 16 and 9!

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Jack is sitting on the back of his truck as Lureen Newsome rides past.  Lureen's hat blows off her head.  Jack stands up and picks up Lureen's hat.  Lureen rides back and Jack gives her the red cowboy hat.

Jack (smiling):  Ma'am.

Lureen smiles and Jack and makes a flirty little clicking sound with her mouth before she rides away.

New Scene.  At the Rodeo.  Jack is preparing for his ride, checking the grips, etc.   We see Lureen approach the front of the stand to watch Jack...

MC:  Here comes Scotty Griffiths, out of Lubbock, Texas...  Come on, Scotty!  Damn it!  Let's give Scotty Griffiths a big hand, folks...  Better luck next time, cowboy.  Boy I tell you folks, what a heck of a way to make a living!  ...  Next up is an up-and-comer, Jack Twist from all the way up in Lightning Flat, Wyoming.  He's onboard Sleepy today!  Let's hope he's not!  Okay.

The gate is opened at Jack begins his ride.

The bull charges out of the chute bucking wildly.  Jack hangs on for dear life! 

MC: Oh, Boy!  Let's hear what the judges have to say.  Don't know for sure, but that looked like the winning ride to me...

Bartender: Sure do. Lureen Newsome.  Her dad sell farm equipment.  Big farm equipment. Hundred thousand dollar tractors. s--- like that.

Jack looks over at Lureen.  Lureen is looking at him.  Lureen got up and walked over to Jack.

Lureen: What are you waiting for, cowboy...a matin' call?

Next scene, Jack and Lureen are making out in the car.
Jack is lying on his back in the back seat of the car and Lureen is on top of him.  Jack smiles up at Lureen.

Lureen:  You don't think I'm too fast, do you? Maybe I should put on the brakes?

Jack:  Fast or Slow, I just like the direction you're going in.

Lureen looks a little startled for a moment, then gives Jack a big smile.

Alma Jr. pulls a jar of peanuts off the shelf which causes the display of peanut jars to come crashing to the floor.  There's broken glass and peanuts all over the floor.  Alma looks stunned.

Monroe comes running at the sound of broken glass.

Alma (almost in tears):  Monroe, I AM SO SORRY.

Monroe:  It's okay, Alma.  It's okay.

He suddenly notices Jack and may have sensed a moment of awkwardness...  He addresses Jack...
