This is great news - i can hardly wait. And about time too!! Thanks for the info Jennis, you're a star!!

I'm praying for all the tentlove outtakes of course. And hopefully i will find out why Randy Quaid needed a stunt double?

Koka, I think it's all preliminary, hence "technical info" - probably means that they're working on the actual details of what's on the 2nd disc.  The first disc will probably be completely devoted to the movie with all the languages, DTS audio, and hopefully commentary.  I suspect the 2nd disc will contain all the outtakes, specials, etc. (hopefully a full 2 hours worth!)   ;D

I never thought in my lifetime that Universal would release a special collector's edition, and now here we are at least me in heaven once more, yet trying to pre-order online applies only to US residents, so I took a moment and wrote asking the possibility to send in a form to pre-order from Canada, hope it works, otherwise I gather one will have to wait until the Canadian official release sometime after. :-[

frenchcda, just take a ferry to Seattle and get your copy there ;)  I'm sure you can also order it through the American online places (like Amazon) once it is officially out.  The Universal preorder is for US residents only since they are the "official" releasing agent ;)

For sure I 'lle even walk on my knees and pray on the way down to Bellingham, Washington, however need to renew the ever-so demanding USA rule on cross boarding... my passport January 7 2007.

Now that the initial happiness has taken residence in my mind, I am starting to wonder if they will change the cover art, or just add the words "COLLECTOR'S EDITION" to it? I also am wondering what the second DVD is going to look like. My DVD has the picture from the cover and posters, but I wonder if the new, second DVD will have something different or if it will just have "Disc 1" and "Disc 2".

Don't mind me. I'm a graphics artist so I tend to wonder and analyze things like this for ages.

Hey Carbyville, you can wonder and analyze as long as you like, I'm wondering about the same thing!  Well, that and what the extra scenes will be, and if there's going to be audio commentary, and what the postcards will have on them...you know, usual stuff like that!

I think it would be great to have a new cover, wouldnt it?  Make it more special.
