I love every single photo from that shoot with the two of them by the truck, and also separately.  Am I correct in assuming they just did all those shots just to use for publicity?  Not part of any missing scene or anything.

The most difficult scene was the paragraph where, on the mountain, Ennis holds Jack and rocks back and forth, humming, the moment mixed with childhood loss and his refusal to admit he was holding a man.

Oh...me, too.  This is so damn beautiful.  Just think how strong he was feeling, having his man in his arms -- maybe even thinking, just for those moments, that they had the whole of life ahead of them together somehow...until they started talking reality later.  But just for these moments, it was nothing but pure love and desire.
