A young man from Australia was visiting here in San Diego -- he'd saved for a year, the trip of his life, to come to U.S. Well, he was beaten and burned in a fire on the beach by some drunks. He didn't die, but is in the hospital. His parents have come here, from Perth. There has been a huge outpouring of support for him and his parents, to try to compensate for such an ugly thing happening here, where we always welcome visitors.
Anyway, there is a benefit for him in April at an Aussie restaurant downtown. I'll go, and I plan on giving an extra donation in honor of Heath. I'm wondering if that's in any way inappropriate. I mean, I'm contributing to the benefit for the young man and his family, but to me, it is also a way to honor Heath and where he came from.

Kathy - My God, what a terrible thing has happened! I'm so sorry! :\'(
Your idea of giving a donation for that young man is
not inappropriate, it's so sweet, and I'm
sure that Heath, from the place where he is now, agrees. I think that to help an Aussie fellow of Heath is a
really beautiful way to honor him.
All loving thoughts to that young man and his family.
