Well you know I believe that too..but the time thats passed since he was physically here is still shocking. But yes, he's very much still here in my opinion, whether you believe in an afterlife or just in our hearts and through his impact on our lives.
When you read about somebody special
who has met an untimely end
although you didn't even know them personally
feels like you've lost a friend

Miss you Heath, till next time xx

I haven't posted on here. I guess I don't have many words to say, no words I could express, to know such a loss. To lose such a beautiful, senetive, loving man... :\'(

Well, this is a song with a Heath photo montage on Heath. I don't think I've posted it on here b4 but this song always gets to me!! I cried when watching this vid. right after Heath passed...The weird thing about this song and vid. is the person made this 2 years ago for a school project..I don't they knew the heart-wrenching truth of this song years later..

I turn the page
My story ends
I say goodbye to all my friends
I know it's getting late
Now the light is on my face
I changed the clocks back again
And ask forgiveness for my sins
Cause I don't know where I'll go
Well this is all that I really know

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

I'm finding out the hardest way
You learn before you fall from grace
In shadows we can grow
We are the seeds we sow
Through every single hour fades
From sand to stone and rock to clay
It's bittersweet this symphony
Enjoy the gift that's given to you and me

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

The red rain is pouring down
And now my feet don't touch the ground
I'm lost between the stars and moons
I will see you soon

I turn the page
My story ends
I say goodbye to all my friends
I know it's getting late
Now the light is on my face
I changed the clocks back again
And ask forgiveness for my sins
Cause I don't know where I'll go
Well this is all that I really know

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

Let me play for you
Let this heart ring true
One more time
Just one more time

This was my fav video on Utube, it's number 1 in my heath playlist, I've seen it so many times, and yes, it was made 2 years ago. It is so strange to see it now with such a different meaning. I noticed a lot of people changed their messages for their Heath videos that were made "before", but that girl hasn't. Maybe it's too hard. It's so strange watching it, I can't imagine if I had made it; it really forshaddows something. It's still one of the most beautiful Heath videos in exitence though.    Love to you all-Jess:)

I know what you mean by foreshadowing something. I remember watching it and putting it on my favorits way before Heath died. Not understand why she would use such a song. I still don't know why she used it but all we know is that now, it has such a strong message. No, this is not his last good-bye  :\'(

A young man from Australia was visiting here in San Diego -- he'd saved for a year, the trip of his life, to come to U.S.  Well, he was beaten and burned in a fire on the beach by some drunks.  He didn't die, but is in the hospital.  His parents have come here, from Perth.  There has been a huge outpouring of support for him and his parents, to try to compensate for such an ugly thing happening here, where we always welcome visitors.

Anyway, there is a benefit for him in April at an Aussie restaurant downtown.  I'll go, and I plan on giving an extra donation in honor of Heath.  I'm wondering if that's in any way inappropriate.  I mean, I'm contributing to the benefit for the young man and his family, but to me, it is also a way to honor Heath and where he came from.

Kathy, I am so sorry to hear this terrible story, and yet, I am also inspired by your tribute to Heath. I cannot imagine a more fitting and loving way to pay tribute to Heath, who always looked out for his mates from Australia. Please know that I have no doubt that Heath would approve, the young man's family would approve, and I applaud you

Love,

Andrew

Kathy, that is such a horrific thing that happened to that man!  >:( But the outpouring of the community is heartwarming and no, your gesture isn't inappropriate. I think it's heartfelt and beyond touching.  :^^)

Dear Kathy----that is the perfect response to what happened there, and a really good way to honor Heath's memory. Thanks for
letting us know, and maybe even showing the way for us to find ways to do the same, should we have the chance.

Kathy, not only this is appropriate, but a gesture that honours you.I'm sure Heath would be so proud of you¡. :^^)
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Thanks, Lis, this is a really haunting song, I keep thinking Heath could have wrote it, singing it. It has so much of the spirit of what he said in interviews. He was in love with love, and with so much to give.

I haven't posted on here. I guess I don't have many words to say, no words I could express, to know such a loss. To lose such a beautiful, senetive, loving man... :\'(

Well, this is a song with a Heath photo montage on Heath. I don't think I've posted it on here b4 but this song always gets to me!! I cried when watching this vid. right after Heath passed...The weird thing about this song and vid. is the person made this 2 years ago for a school project..I don't they knew the heart-wrenching truth of this song years later..

I turn the page
My story ends
I say goodbye to all my friends
I know it's getting late
Now the light is on my face
I changed the clocks back again
And ask forgiveness for my sins
Cause I don't know where I'll go
Well this is all that I really know

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

I'm finding out the hardest way
You learn before you fall from grace
In shadows we can grow
We are the seeds we sow
Through every single hour fades
From sand to stone and rock to clay
It's bittersweet this symphony
Enjoy the gift that's given to you and me

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

The red rain is pouring down
And now my feet don't touch the ground
I'm lost between the stars and moons

I will see you soon

I turn the page
My story ends
I say goodbye to all my friends
I know it's getting late
Now the light is on my face
I changed the clocks back again
And ask forgiveness for my sins
Cause I don't know where I'll go
Well this is all that I really know

I'll keep holding on
I'll keep singing my song
It gets me through it
I've got the scars to prove it
Well I know the road is long
But I'm staying strong
So don't cry
Cause this is not my last goodbye

Let me play for you
Let this heart ring true
One more time
Just one more time

Heath, you are loved, like this, always.

Kathy what a horrible thing to have happened.  I just hope that the young man recovers and this doesn't make him think that this is how America is cause it is NOT.

I have a friend in Australia that I met while he was a camp counselor at a sleep away camp in the Poconos (in Pennsylvania)  After camp was finished he wanted to stay here in the states at least until his visa ran out.  Well he stayed with me for 4 months (he renewed his Visa during that time)   I was living in NY at the time and he'd go into Manhattan to meet up with some friends and there was one time I remember he came back real late and I was worried something happened to him.   Well nothing ever happened while he was in Manhattan.  Ironically he went back home and moved in with an Aunt and Uncle for a while, they lived in Sydney.  It wasn't long before that he was mugged waiting for a train. His cell phone was taken (other than that he was okay)

Just goes to show you this kind of stuff can happen anywhere.

As for giving money in Heath's name I think it is a wonderful idea.  I bet if Heath were here he would have gotten in touch with the man's family and helped him with whatever he needed including money.

Again I hope he will be okay

Aren't we at the stage these days when it just doesn't ... matter? It's a story of love and it's a story between two people. If people can't get over that and just accept it as a story, then that's their problem. I'm big enough and brave enough to do it. - Heath Ledger on doing BBM

You're not really gone Heath, are you? You must still be around here, somewhere... you can't be gone, not really.
The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

Here is a link to the news story, and a PDF file for donation to the benefits set up by the restaurant.

Rob Schneider will make a full recovery, according to the report, but it will be a long recovery.
