Congratulations to Heath!!! I can hardly express what I feel now, it is probably a mixture of a great deep sadness and proud. I am very happy because has deserved the Oscar award since the BBM was made.

I have seen some pictures of Jake and Sean Penn talking to each other at the post Oscar party. I would really wonder what they were talking about because they both looked rather serious......Anyway, I realised that they both have played gays (on screen) and both died.....
Does anyone know why Jake doesn´t talk to media about Heath at all? I hoped I saw him at the Oscars, but he was not there....

I think it's because the media is public and he just doesn't want to move his sorry from private.  I think Maggie is the same way, from a couple of interviews I watched and what she said.

That would seem to be the case, jessi.  Maggie spoke about Heath only when put on the spot and asked (and she answered so beautifully, about how it was too hard to talk about deep emotions with all the hoppla of the red carpet going on).  Jake has not yet been in an interview setting, and when he does start to be, perhaps he'll ask them to please not ask about Heath.  Or maybe we'll finally hear some words from him.  But I don't need to hear it from him in public to know how he must be feeling, this whole past year...   :\'(

Thanks, Tammy and lamusica.

Thank you SO much Ethan. I have not words for this. I totally lost it when Sonny said "I've always loved you".  :\'( :\'( :\'( And seeing Heath there when he accepted the Bafta and seeing Ennis....well...that was SO hard.  :\'( :\'( :\'(

This was simply made of awesome. BEAUTIFUL, my friend, just that.  ^f^

Tammy -  :ghug:

Here is a quote from Christopher Nolan at the Golden Globe accepting Heath's award.

"After Heath passed on, you saw a whole rift in the future of cinema, but with the extraordinary response to his work that we've seen all over the world, I for one started to be able to look a bit less at that gap in the future and a little bit more at the incredible place in the history of cinema that he built for himself with his talent and with his dedication to his artistry."

Just like Nolan, I too started feeling the same way. He is amazing for what he had given us with his talent.

With the approaching thirtieth birthday anniversary for Heath Ledger,
this song takes on new meaning for me, echoing the quote from Kahlil Gibran:

The deeper that sorrow carves into your being,
the more joy you can contain.

The song says, "how does a memory last this long
so i just hold you down a road that never ends
and i just keep you in my heart that never mends"

The song is not released yet, but you can hear it on http://myspace.com/musicsand in the profile playlist.

So I Can Feel You Again - by Ryan Laird

i never listened to the sound of rain
that i don't miss you i don't see your face
it's never what i need cuz what it does to me
it's always the same

a million pictures running through my mind
i reminace on all the better times
clear as a summer night i know that i can never fight
there is nothing to gain
it takes a hold on me so strong
how does a memory last this long

so i just hold you down a road that never ends
and i just keep you in my heart that never mends
and now i have learn to love the rain
and then i learnt to love the pain
so i can feel you again

myabe i'm selfish not to let you go
and it goes againt everything i know
i am just not ready to stop loving you any time soon
if god has just give me my way, you'd be here with me today

so i just hold you down a road that never ends
and i just keep you in my heart that never mends
and now i have learn to love the rain
and then i learnt to love the pain
so i can feel you again

so i just hold you down a road that never ends
and i just keep you in my heart that never mends
and now i have learn to love the rain
and then i learnt to love the pain
so i can feel you again
i can feel you again

Heath, you are loved, like this, always.

Ohh, Steffi...how precious.  Like the other image of Heath's name in the sand at Cottlesloe Beach, this brought tears to my eyes instantaneously.

Absolutely beautiful, but so sad.  So special.  This picture has a way of pulling on my heartstrings in a very bittersweet way.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

And...I hadn't realized you were in Australia right now, hon.  :)  Any chance you're coming to the east coast?  If you're visiting Melbourne, or just Victoria at large, I'd love to meet up with you!

Thank you Steffi. I get shivers when I think that he used to walk on these beaches himself, swim in these water, and now all is left is his name in the sand. :\'(

You are welcome, whiteangel. I am waiting for Ryan Laird to release his first album, and hopefully this song. You can join his fan club and leave comments for him, to encourage him to release the song. He is a really good singer/songwriter. There are other songs of his that I love, but this one is especially poignant.
Heath, you are loved, like this, always.

I was watching a movie just now while I ironed shirts and ran laundry. "Henry Poole is Here." And all of a sudden a song starts playing in one of the scenes and I realize it's Morning Yearning. A slight gulp and before I know it I have tears on my face. Just when you think it's fading into the background of your consciousness, settling in as a gentle melancholy mixed with appreciation and fondness, it creeps back in and finds its way to your sensitive spot. As I told a friend just now, I guess I don't mind crying for him sometimes still, he's worth it. :ghug:

   :ghug: ((((Barb))))  :ghug:

Know just what you mean, bud.  Although I do usually feel it as a quiet melancholy these days, mixed in with the love and appreciation, every so often, triggered by things like a song I associate with him, an unexpected headline on Yahoo as I check my email, or the heartfelt words in this very thread, tears will suddenly come out of nowhere, as the still-felt surreal shock of it all sinks in once again.

But, like you say, Barb, he is so worth these tears that claim you from time to time.

Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”
