Finally got mine from amazon - 10 days in the mail!

This is the only BBM DVD I have, so was thrilled to get it.

I liked the part about the music the best - and then the part on "being cowboys". However, i'd seen a lot of this on youtube. Postcards are nice, but the first one - sent to "Genral Delivery" - was not the same pic as in the movie - but it is a beautiful scene.

I'm happy with it, but really wanted outtakes & deleted scenes.

Thanks for this link, kathy. It's very interesting. I noticed he deferred to Ang Lee quite a bit. The scenes he mentioned that he wished weren't cut, seem meaningless to me. But I'm curious about the one he wouldn't talk about - said it would influence our perception of the outcome of the film. Like we could be influenced. Sure we could - give us the deleted scenes - we're going to perceive the outcome anyway.

I signed it too.. thats so dissapointing, this DVD is practically identical to the first release, unless theres deleted scenes and commentary i will not buy another BBM DVD.. its the same!

i read a review about the collecters addition.. saying they may release an anniversary additon (in future years). aah i dont wanna wait that long, like 10 years haha

Somehow I feel we will never get a true Collectors edition unless Ang Lee really wants one and it appears he doesnt . He put a period behind BBM and moved on, just like all the actors have.

yeah I am based in the UK got my copy a few days ago agree its very good but had hoped there were some shots that hadnt made it into the original release. I also have a copy of the german "delux" edition in european format - the presentation is excellent and though again no additional footage the extra disc is worth a look. Here hoping there is a further copy with extra scenes in the pipeline-Gus

I watched this "Collector's Edition" several times already. The movie itself is the same except the title screen and theme song is different. It also has Spanish subtitle and language. The first disc has the movie and "A Ground breaking Success" documentary. The second disc has "Impression from the film" and " Music from the Mountain" along with the original four. Also you get 8 postcards.

the mountain scene ("you know i ain't queer") - and underneath it says "you need no children to driven a volkswagen van"

Alright.. so I look at the petition I started from time to time and it really hasn't made much progress in the last couple of months. A lot of this is probably due in part to me being neglectful and not promoting it the way that I should have, but I got busy and it got put on the back burner. Now that things have calmed down, I am going to try and get more signatures.

We need plenty more so this really needs to be promoted well. I do still plan to print things out and send them to their appropriate places, but it would be futile to do so with only 373 signatures.

This is where I need some help. There is no way that I am going to be able to do this on my own. I know cham has helped me a great deal in promoting this and to him I am very grateful, it means a lot to me. We do still need many more signatures to get this thing sent off to Universal, though.

So if you can please, either
1) Sign it if you haven't, already.
2) Tell everyone you can about it. I even got my mother to sign it after I explained it to her a little bit.
3) Try and promote it where you think it is appropriate ex: Other Brokeback forums with mods permission, communities, friends that liked the movie. Word of mouth is the only way this is going to succeed and I'd really like for it to do just so.
