Finally had the dream that I knew would be coming for 2 1/2 weeks now. The Heath dream. It started off sad. I was in a random hallway crying, about him I am sure when he walks out of a door like nothing ever happened. He noticed I was crying, came over and asked what was wrong. I didn't say anything at first, but eventually I pointed at him and said "You." He looked a little different, shorter/lighter hair kind of how he looked in early 2006.

Then I asked him if I could touch his hair. I always loved his hair so I'm sure that's why that came up in the dream. He let me, he smiled and then I asked him "Will you please give me strength?" he nodded, said yes, and then I answered back with something like "I'm trying really hard but I might need help sometimes." After that he said he had to go so he got up and started to leave, gave me a wave and I said "Goodbye, Heath." Then he was gone.

I woke up immediately and wasn't sure if I wanted to cry or smile so I just stared at the ceiling for little bit replaying it in my head.

It felt like I could see it playing out. It was nice to see him and talk to him, wasn't it? I wish everyone could have a dream like that. Maybe, one at a time, eventually everyone will.

It was very nice. I think everyone will get their chance, a few at a time.

Baby Tammy, I feel your pain, truly I do.  I myself currently take medication for panic attacks - I know how frightening they can be.  To think that Heath suffered from them just breaks my heart even more.  And the depression, too, I know how bad that can be.  It's horrible that he had to go through all of that.  And now he's gone.  It's so unfair.   :\'(

Hello Brokies 

I cannot believe that tomorrow or later today (in NY) is Heath's funeral. I can't believe it's been over 2 weeks, maybe more, since he passed. I wish that I could do some tribute tonight honoring him at around the same time as they are in Aus. but sadely, I'm so busy today.
My drama club is showing our play for the 2nd time tonight called "Camelot". Just before I wrote this I sent a prayer and a kiss. I hope that will do for now.
Oh Heath, it is so hard sometimes to realize that you are gone. I savoir every time you are on TV and smile when your smile lights up the room and yet my smile goes away soon after, knowing I will never be able to see that smile again. It is difficult but I always have to remember all that you've done on your time on Earth and how lucky Heaven is, to have an angel like you...

I had one last night. And in true Michelle fashion it was weird- never seem to have a straightforward type of dream. But anyway here it is. All I remember is that the final service was going on-I don't know if I was there or just sort of seeing it but anyway everyone was walking following behind the procession and the paps were everywhere- helicopters etc. All of the mourners were walking to the final destination (my euphemism) and were carrying large pictures of Heath and they were set on some type of lightweight boards. When the paps got to close they'd put them over their heads and it spelled out "F*ck you Paps" and some only had the color red on the back- you know sort of like at a sporting event when fans in the stands spell out something? Anyway that is my weird dream.

LJN, this actually brought a smile to my face, because I couldn't help thinking he would like that. I just see that quirky, mischievous smile in my head. And for a guy who's given the finger to the paps, I think he'd be up there cheering his friends on.

I love that so many people are having dreams about him. Thanks for sharing this.

That was quite a dream carby!   I am still so stunned I have not had a Heath dream yet.  Not sure what will trigger one either.  I do hope that if I have one I will have the opportunity to say to him the things I hoped to say in a real life meeting.

      It's so quiet here, so far today, so very few posts, and I guess that's probably because the funeral is today, our time.  It'll make a
difference---the whole idea of funerals is to help the family and friends, in some way, come to terms with a loss. Very, very often, however,
the services just alter the over-all sense of loss.  There are days that start where you feel back to normal, other days, brief relapse or even
depression.  Most of you have experienced this and so know what's going to happen.
   And then, for us, we all have to come to terms with how we became so emotionally entangled and suffered reactions far different than
others, who just liked Heath's movies.  There are some who will feel they over-reacted and there's something wrong with them.  Nah.  It
is a good idea, over time, to find out why the feeling of connection to Heath, but we should never forget that he crossed our paths a different
way, and there is no shame to that.  We are who we are, and we loved Heath.  And we'll miss him.  If anyone does get news the services
are over, I hope they will post.
  My understanding is, it's roughly in these hours, now, and I have heard the family will have a wake of celebration, at a beach Heath favored,
if they can sustain that without too much interference.  Have also heard the press corps is 30-40, and have said they would restrain themselves
if allowed some limited coverage.  I doubt the family will agree to the offer.

I hope the media leaves them alone- these are real people suffering a real loss and real pain. God bless his family for being so graceful throughout all of this- I don't know if I'd have been able to restrain myself if it was- god forbid- my child that I was preparing to bury.  :\'(  To your other point, I guess it's that we know that there are those that will tear him down- pricks- those that are in the "now" who will soon forget even if they don't mean to and then there's us who will carry him with us always. And no, there is no shame in it at all. The shame lies with those who try to capitalize with insulting slanderous articles and erroneous "news", with those who mock a human being who has passed away be it on a radio show or with a picket sign, with those that are so full of hatred that they couldn't embrace this wonderful story and those that brought it to life. And it is a true shame that their hearts aren't open to love and don't know the comfort of a friend's hug- even if it is a cyber hug, or a kind word posted here, the feeling of being understood and accepted no questions asked. That is the real shame and they are all the poorer for it.

  LuvJackNasty---that wasn't a weird dream, it only shows you are a fighter.  If you've had one, letting off anger, I'd bet sooner or later, you'll
get that sweet dream, that will make it all right.
  It is hard to not know the exact time of the funeral, and the networks have gone from one extreme (gossip) to the other (no news at all).
But, it's probably right now, in these 1-2 hours, if not already over.  I'd like to light a candle, but I don't have one.  Maybe it's a good idea to
log off, in a little while, and just accept the passage quietly.  Meanwhile, I love all of you for sticking together as a community.  Each of us had
a place to go when we were troubled, and that was to each other.

Since it's probably around now----just let me say----Heath, go in peace....but not too far.

This song popped into my head today- it's from the Lord of the Rings at the end of the trilogy. It normally makes cry at the end of the movie and today it took on a whole new meaning. For the first week after Heath left us, I dreamt about him every single night.  I wish I could remember exactly what happened in the dreams, but they were good and not sad.

Beautiful song LJN and so appropriate for this night. I for one can rest easier now knowing Heath's body has been laid to rest. His spirit left us 2 almost 3 weeks ago now, but it is comforting to know that his mortal remains are now where they should be and at peace.

I take an anti-anxiety med -- not for panic attacks per se, but chronic anxiety.  Perhaps it was that for Heath -- we don't know.  So let's not think the worse.  The insomnia, yes, that was definitely an issue, and how that can disrupt one's state of mind and health.  Sleeplessness due to the intensity of his work.  But I like to think of what is called "divine anxiety," without which we would not be shaken up enough to explore and express to the limits, would not have the level of art we have gotten from some people, Heath certainly included.  He wouldn't want to zombie out -- he had too much to express.    Just some of my thoughts, not intending to be some definitive answer...

Excellent point Kathy. I said it the night Heath died. He gave his all to his art and in the end his art took it all. The pundits and the know it alls can not imagine what he gave for the sake of his art, and an artist he was, of the highest level.

What a beautiful picture and a fitting tribute 

I think everyone will get their chance, a few at a time.

I tend not to dream very often, and if/when I do, they are never remembered. Instead, I have flashes, or visions which last just very briefly. So, today, while at work, (I work at a children's indoor playground), I was watching a parent and child, sliding down a large slide which we have there. For no reason at all, without any thought in my head of Heath, I saw oh so very briefly, Heath with Matilda, in place of the parent and child on that slide. It bothered me for awhile afterwards, as to why I saw this. I did not even realise it was his funeral today. I puzzled on it for sometime, trying to work out why I saw this. But honestly, it was very nice to see. I only learnt of Heath's funeral when I arrived home earlier this evening.

Perhaps it was just a waking dream as I call them
