Junior:  About a year.  Wedding'll be June fifth at the Methodist Church.  Jenny's singing, and Monroe's gonna cater the reception.

He seems at the point of crying;after some moments of silence,Jr. says:
-Was hoping you'd be there.
Ennis:
-Yeah.I think I'm supposed to be on a round-up near the Tetons.
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

An old  stationwagon stops about two feet from the steps ,Ennis jumps up to get out of the way.

Aguire:  If you pair of deuces are lookin' for a job, I suggest you get your scrawny asses here, pronto.

Aguirre: Now up on Brokeback the Forest Service got designated campsites on the allotments. Them camps can be 3, 4 miles from where we pasture the woollies. Bad predator loss if there's nobody lookin' after 'em at night.

AGUIRRE continues:

Now what I want . . .
    (looks at Ennis)
Is the camp tender in the main camp where the Forest Service says,
but the herder . . .

   (looks at Jack)
Pitch a pup tent on the Q.T. with sheep, and he's gonna' sleep there.
Eat yur' supper and breakfast in camp, but sleep with sheep, - hundred percent.
No fire, don't leave no sign, roll up that tent every mornin' case the
Forest Service snoops around.

Aguirre:(phone rings): Yeah? No. No. Not on your f*ckin' life!... hangs up
....You got your dogs, your 30/30, you sleep there. Last summer I had goddamn 25% loss, I don't want that again.
You (points at Ennis).. Fridays at noon be down at the bridge with your groery list and mules, somebody with supplies will be there at the pickup.
Tomorrow mornin' we'll truck you up to the jump off.

Picks up the phone.  Pauses. Looks angrily at Ennis and Jack.

(Modified 'cos I missed a bit!)

The boys move to a bar down the street

JACK (taking a swig from his beer): My second year up here. Last year a lightnin' storm killed 42 sheep - thought I'd asphyxiate from the smell. 'Course Aguirre got all over my back like I'm supposed to control the weather. Still, beats workin' for my old man - can't please my old man, no way. Why I took to rodeoin'. You ever rodeo?

ENNIS: Well, you know, once in a while, when I got the entry fee in my pocket.

JACK (nods): You from ranch people?

No. They run themselves off.

There's one curve in the road in 43 miles, and they missed it.

So the bank took the ranch.

Brother and sister they raised me mostly.
