Next scene, Ennis working with the road work team, Timmy, one of the co-worker talks incessantly:

My old lady's tryin' to get me to quit this job, says I'm getting too old to be breakin' my back shoveling asphalt...

I told her strong backs and weak minds run in my family.  Didn't think that was too funny...

I told her keeps me fit.

New scene, Joe Aguirre's Farm & Ranch Employment trailer early summer 1964, he hears a knock on the door:

Aguirre:

Yeah?

Jack enters, door slams behind him.

Well, look what the wind blew in.

Jack:
Hi Mr. Aquirre, wonderin' if you was needin' any help this summer.
"What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger."

Jack nods politely, starts to leave, then stops, turns back to Aguirre,

"Hey, Ennis Del Mar ain't been around, has he?" he says, with hope shimmering softly in his voice.

Ennis goes over to the girls room, they're both crying, he picks up Jenny, tries to calm her down.

Alma (shouting from the kitchen): Ennis could you wipe Alma Jr's nose?

Ennis comforts both squalling babies, then, later, he wearily sits on his and Alma's bed in his pajama bottoms where we see just a hint of lovely buttcheek cleavage...

"Th' girls alright?" Alma murmurs as she comes up behind Ennis across the bed. She lovingly puts her arms around his shoulders from behind...Ennis closes his eyes and  longingly remembers a much too long ago dozy embrace in the arms of his beloved...

"Oh, Ennis," Alma whispers, seductively against his neck, as Ennis heaves a deep sigh, "Can't we move to town?  Tired of these lonesome ol' ranches.   No one for Alma Jr to play with...besides, I'm scared for Jenny. I'm scared if she has one a them bad asthma spells..."

Ennis, I know you'd like it too. A real home. Other kids for the girls to play with. Not so lonely, like you were raised. You don't want it so lonely, do you?  ::)

Sighs, moans and kisses as Ennis and Alma begin their lovemaking.  "C'mere" Alma whimpers as she pulls Ennis closer, facing her.

Ennis, however, perhaps aching to be with his one true beloved, closes his eyes, flips Alma  over onto her stomach and takes her, desperately trying to imagine he is making love to Jack, again, back up on Brokeback, that summer that got 'em good.

Cut to rodeo as Jack and the bull he is riding crash out of the gate.

"Let 'er rip and snort, boys, Twist hangin' on fer dear life..."  After Jack is dumped from the bull, the rodeo clowns take over and allow him to head for the fence.

"...Fine ride for Mr. Twist, four seconds for him..."

"SHIT!"  Jack curses, frustrated.

"Give 'em a hand, folks, our very own rodeo clowns..."
'You know, it could be like this, just like this...always."

"Well, what's the point of ridin' a piece a stock fer eight seconds?"   *Grin*

Jimbo tosses a dollar bill onto the bar, rolls his eyes at the bartender and strolls over to his buddies at the pool table, who gather around him in a protective circle.

Jack, humiliated, turns his head and stares at the group of macho he-men.

"Y'ever try calf ropin'?"  the bartender snidely asks.
