Wonderful posts all. I was particularly struck by these bits:

"You can't fix a broken heart with superglue."

"you love who you want to love, and please be kind enough to let others do the same."

As always, what I am most struck by when I come here is the support and respect everyone shows one another. I know that be it a good day, a bad day, or anything in between, there is always someone to give a hug or pass a tissue. Or just to lean on for a moment before getting on with my day. So thank you all for that. :ghug:

And then an image popped into my head that made me smile. yb mentioned wearing sunglasses to TDK and Tony said "Maybe we should all bring along some sunglasses, just in case."

And suddenly I had this vision of all of us, in our different corners of the world, sitting in our individual theaters, wearing sunglasses. Sort of a solidarity thing. A silent bond with each other, and a silent tribute to the man who inspired each of us in various ways, and helped us find our way to each other. I like the image. 8)

M Scott Peck said that a community is where people can disagree gracefully, can fight and argue, and remain a family. It is a place where everyone can be a leader, and a follower. It is a place where above all else, the individual is respect as much as the group. It is a place where shared values bind everyone's actions and motivation together function in a cohesive consistent pattern, like a dance.
I have just witnessed this community in action, and it's beautiful. Thank you everyone. You dance beautifully.
 :ghug:
Why do I love this place? Let me count the ways; let me count the individuals here... :ghug:
I think that tis is simply a beautiful post that describes our forum , that's why I love it here too...  <^(
"What Jack remembered and craved in a way he could neither help nor understand was the time that distant summer on Brokeback when Ennis had come up behind him and pulled him close, the silent embrace satisfying some shared and sexless hunger."

Beautiful post, Tony. Thank you.
You're very welcome, Keren.  And thank you for all those great photos- we all owe you a great deal for your work there, as well as your faithful loyalty to Heath, here.

FlowerChild, the sunglasses may or may not work, but I think you are on to something about a distinctive remembrance when we see TDK.  Maybe a ribbon on the wrist or clothes.  Any color.  Just to show our diversity.  I'll do that, even if I'm the only one.  It'll mean something to me, at least.

I don't have a Heath wristband... :-\\  -I'd like to have one-.But I could wear an ankle bracelet that I have in which I could put a little note with his name.
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I was glancing through one of the movie rag magazines and came across a lovely picture of Michelle and Matilda walking along a street in NYC.  Matilda was wearing a little sundress, and the look on her face was 100% Heath.  That was time for a cry.  This little child will always be a reminder of our buddy; she carries his persona on her face.  Will she be like him in any other way?  Probably, since genetics are so powerful.  So, in the midst of the darkness brought by Heath's absence, Matilda brings us light, joy and fond memories of her daddy.       We can continue to grieve; however, we need to look for ways to heal, too.
I am worried that I will not be able to attend a theatre showing of TDK.  Everytime I see a poster of Heath as The Joker, I cry.  I want so badly to see the film, but feel it will open up all the wounds again.   (Just some ruminations from my sick mind.....)

I totally agree with you, with everything you say. I feel the same.....the whole time.  :\'( :\'( :\'(

Animo, amiga!!! Yo estoy aquí por ti si me necesitas, todos estamos aquí por ti si nos necesitas.  :^^)

I know I should find ways to heal, but I don't know how to do that. I still have that horrible feeling of sadness and loss and disbelief when I read something about him, or when I try to reconcile my mind with the fact that he's dead. I feel the tears forming in my eyes just from writing these words. I guess there's nothing I can do except give it time, more time, because I can't see another way for me to get over it. You can't fix a broken heart with superglue.

Keren!!!  :ghug:  :ghug:  :ghug: I know, really I know how you feel inside.

Maybe we needed a pause, to re-think, and rest up a little.  And maybe there'll be a transformation whereby grieving, which is painful, eases into a soft landing of never forgetting, and always remembering a restless, vibrant, and always kind soul that crossed our paths.  Keeping him with us quietly and faithfully, rather than with the tilt to an unending hurt.  As for whether this long-term commitment is healthy, my answer is as brief as Keren's:  you love who you want to love, and please be kind enough to let others do the same.

BEAUTIFUL, Tony, utterly beautiful. Thank you so much.  ^f^

Ok, tell me if I'm being goofy here, but Tony gave me an idea when he said that maybe we could wear a ribbon or a particular color as our own symbol when we go to see TDK. What if we simply all wore something stripey, in honor of Heath's fondness for stripes and the wonderfully odd way that he wore them?

Again, if that's goofy, it's ok to say so. Just a thought that popped into my head. And it doesn't require a particular uniform code, so we could all participate in our own way. What do you think?

There's no problem with old shoes;I'll look for them in my old object's wardrobe ¡  :) But I don't know when I'll find something striped, because I think I have nothing... :-\\

FlowerChild, you're on a roll.  A ribbon is for tidal waves in Asia, cancers, POW's, etc, and are very legitimate, but one more ribbon says nothing - striped clothing says: Heath.  But now I have to go burrowing through old clothes until I find something sufficiently bohemian.  Oh, what the heck - I'll show up WITH stripes, WITH a ribbon, and if I can figure out what Matt's Heath bracelet is like, will get me one of those, too. Plus the sunglasses.
Am serious.  OK, I may just do the stripes.  Depends on who I go with and what their tolerance level is.  FlowerChild...this one works.  Thanks.

I love it Jess! ;D

I have been known to decorate an occasional shirt with permanent marker.

But really, even a little ribbon with stripes, or as christie said, something that's brightly colored. It's the thought, not the outfit, that counts. :)

Or something that has bottons to fasten the one in the middle,as he used to do?

I can drawn the stripes with acrilic painting, but, listen,Jess,do you think it'll work?  ;)
