I found this picture of Lily Cole and her tattoed heart - the one she and Heath's other fellow cast mates had tattoed in his memory.

I hope you can see it clearly enough.

Oh, thank you Christie! I wanna have that tattoo as well... I'll have to get it copied. It's a wonderful way to remember Heath, I'm so touched they did it.
The truth is... sometimes I miss you so much I can hardly stand it.

It's nice to actually have a good close up pic of the tattoo, it's so hard to see Verne's, but it also kind of feels like she's showing it off( I don't think she is, it just appears that way because the photagrapher zoomed in).

I think if I ever got something, I would want it where is wasn't so obvious, you know...just for me. But I don't think I will, I just don't want something that reminds me of him to become common place, like, you just get used to seeing it to the point that the meaning is not there anymore. I don't know.

Has anyone ever gotten a tat to remember someone; did the feeling last?

Oh, and these are the sunglasses I got for the premiere, I love that a bunch of us are wearing things that remind us of him <^(

They're really cute, and make me smile (not cry) thinking of him.

I got them in white too, like Michelle wears, they're even cuter :)

I think its a personal thing to get a tattoo wherever you want to have it, whether its on show or not.  I didnt think Lily Cole was showing it off in any way, I just thought she was proud to have it, and what it represented to her.  Not everyone knows about the heart and what it means, I think it wouuld be quite wonderful if all Heath fans everywhere knew and got it done....I'd like that.

I totally agree with you :), it's such a personal thing. I don't think she was showing off either, I felt like the photographer purposely got the shot with her arm up. I don't think showing it is wrong, Verne showed his, it means something to him, you want people to know. I just remember KerenB saying something a while back about maybe getting "I carry your heart; I carry it in my heart" on her chest across her heart. That just moved me and made me cry, the idea of having something so personal, that no one could see, but you always knew it was there. Like it was just between you and the person it represents; like his "Matilda" tattoo  :\'(

What I like about Lily Cole's though, is the fact that it's in a place where Heath had a tattoo, the inside of his wrist, Verne's is also on his hand where Heath's leaf was; I think that's really interesting.

Oh, I agree with you about this, Christie.  I want to see photos of the tattoo of every one of the crew who had it.  That is an incredibly heart-warming gesture of them.

I noticed that too. I think it's really interesting to see how each person decides to honor and remember him. Everything has meaning, and each different approach is a little hint at what it was that that particular person saw in him or was drawn to. If that makes sense. I just like getting those little peeks into how he touched people.

Yeah I know what you mean, everyone should be able to put their tattoo wherever they felt they wanted to have it.

You know, in the interview she gave, Heath was not mentioned, nor was the tattoo.  So not everyone would even know the significance of the heart on her wrist, but I liked the fact we would know, that makes me feel good.  :)

Wonderful,Emelie;I love them¡ I suppose it's better than,when we'll go and watch TDK,each one of us wear what one has;wristband,glasses,old shoes,striped sweaters,and so on,not exactly one only object,don't you think so?. <^(
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

Well,I guess it's not necessary to wear everything at the same time... :) But with something that reminds Heath, that'll be enough IMO.   O0

I know how you feel Jess... I've been thinking about having a tattoo for a long time, and I still haven't done it because I have mixed feeling about it. At first I thought about having a tattoo just like one of his own - like that celtic thing on his wrist, or the leaf - something that was uniquely Heath. But I don't want people to ask me about it all the time. Then I heard about the heart tottoo and I was so moved by that, I think it's such a beautiful gesture... and I thought about doing it in a private place that isn't so visible, like above my heart. But I don't know, I should have the original drawing for that, and even if I copy it from Lily Cole's photo I'm not sure it's gonna be identical. And sometimes I think that maybe I should'nt have a tattoo at all, because the memory is so painful as it is, so do I really need this constant painful reminder on my body? Even without it I can't stop hurting every time I think about him. I just don't know...

 :ghug: Keren.

I understand about making that decision. I guess its a question of whether it would hurt to have the reminder or be a comfort. And only you can decide that. I'm sure you'll find the right balance. :^^)
