Thank you, FlwrChild and LJN, for putting this into such beautiful words.  It's something like a web, I think, how we are all connected, and what connects us -- the story created by the actors, authors, movie-makers.  But mostly I love thinking of us touching shoulders, as you said, for a little while or a long time, and I also really treasure this.  This has been a most special time of my life, that's for sure.  Because of all of you.  And both Heath's life, and his passing, have been a major part of this.

My friends and I do not just weep.
It’s not only a somber vigil that we keep.
We celebrate our memories
And share our smiles and tears.
We honor one we care about
And will throughout the years.
And on the days it hurts too much,
We always know we’ll find
A shoulder to lean on,
An ear to listen,
A loving and open mind.
A heart full of love is not a bad thing
And friends who will share that
Are a wonderful blessing.
So thank you my friends
for the gift of your love,
and telling me here I have nothing to prove.
It’s so nice in these times to not be alone.
I cherish you all, and this beautiful home.  :ghug:

I've stayed away from this thread for a while now, because I just felt like I had to try to stop thinking about it, but I was drawn here this morning for some reason and I've just read through the last few pages. I hate that so many of you are still hurting so much, but this poem touched me most of all, because it reminds us to celebrate not only Heath, but what we found here because of him (and Jake, Ang and Annie, of course). Beautiful :ghug:

Thanks, too, for the video clips, Barb - I've just watched the AFI one and that's the way I'll always remember him, I think. That beautiful smile, his laugh, and his uneasiness at things like award shows :)
He will be eternally missed, but he will never be forgotten

Christopher Nolan, accepting the Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe on Heath's behalf.

He was, as an actor and a professional and a human being, one of a kind

Charles Roven, accepting Heath's BAFTA.

This award tonight would have humbly validated Heath's quiet determination to be truly accepted by you all here — his peers within an industry he so loved.

Kim Ledger, accepting Heath's Oscar.

And I couldn't help but wonder did he know he was brave? Did he think he was strong? Did he realize how many people leaned on the lessons he helped us to learn? Could he ever know that we were cheered by his simplest word, that smile, and the sound of his voice?

Keren,be strong; he wouldn't like you to be so... :ghug:    :^^)
Ennis’s eyes gone bright with shock, mouth opening then closing again. “Love?” Ennis said finally, voice strangling in his throat.

Jack smiled sad. “Yeah, Ennis. Love.” Leaned forward and kissed Ennis’s temple, whispered, “What’d you think it was, all this time?”

I agree I love all these poems especially the one by the late great George Carlin :\'( but it helps knowing that Heath Ledger was just a flat out good man and that anybody who came in contact with him from 10 years to 10 minutes never could find a bad word to say about him that especially  is what I'd love his lil daughter to know

I so agree, he was a good man and touched all he met.  A flat out good man.  Those who met him never said a bad word about him.  He cared.  He was good; he was a genius; he was a daddy; he was a friend; he was very young; he is a legend.

Uhhh, just saw a commercial on E! Next Friday, a week from today, they are having a E! True Hollywood Story on Heath. Honestly, I can't believe they held out for a whole 5 1/2 months, I guess they were likely waiting for TDK release time.

The episode is going to be impossible to watch...but even more impossible not to watch I guess.

This is crazy...this was suppossed to be such a happy time, I couldn't wait for July. Oh my God.

Oh thank god that I have that channel! I'm so going to watch it and record it. I just hope that they wont say any bad things about him...he deserve so much more, but they usually don't on these kind of things, or at least not on the ones I have seen.

I'm sure its going to be hard to watch, but I do it for him :)

I miss you beautiful angel :\'( <^(

The commercials seemed in his favor...It said stuff like, he was so gifted, he loved his daughter more than anything, and he would have acheived so much more, and that the idea of possible suicide was crazy.

It will be interesting to see if it talks about the negative and sometimes offensive media attention that occured...especially when one of the major offenders was the E! staion itself. Thay still are on E! news and Daily10, but the E! THS seemed like it would be a positive, more in honor of his talent sort of program...I hope.

We have E channel in Israel but it seems like they're behind... I checked on the internet and the only true Hollywood stories they're gonna show this Friday are about The Hilton Sisters and Anna Nicole Smith. I guess you all are going to record it so I can probably get it through one of you... but damn, it's gonna be a hard one to watch. Maybe I should just avoid it... but I know I can't.

especially when they talk of his childhood because thats were we realize again heath was just 28 and he had so much more to offer this world not just as an actor
